@chomik9944 you can find the game on torrents. Its the same like buying it again, since back in 1996 they didnt have copyright and stuff. you didnt need to crack the games back then or own the original ones. You can download it and enjoy ;)

What made this game good was the speed and the dynamic music, which actually changed as you drove through the different landscapes, with seamless transitions. I remember especially a mountain level where you drive over snow-clad mountains and down through the mountains with flaming lava around. The music matched the surroundings.. Goosebumps from a driving game.. Crazy. Of course, the graphics now suck, but this was 14 years ago, people! It was incredible at its time.

To nlty2000; He is running this game with Glide Wrapper if you look at the title which suggests that this games used 3DFX's Glide API which was popular around 1997 when thier voodoo cards were all the rage. XP uses DirectX or OpenGL which this game might not support but you should still be able to get it running, check on Google.

@TheGamingHelper What the OP failed to mention in step 2 is that you need to associate the .sdb file you created in the Aplication Compatibility Tool to sdbinst.exe which can be found in your System32 folder I think, just do a search. Right-click the .sdb file, go to properties, and change the "open with" to sdbinst.exe like I mentioned earlier. This is what helped me get the game to run.

There's another way to play with 3DFX. I'm running it without the DOS option in dgVooDoo. Instead, I use the Win mode to generate a glide2x.dll that can be placed in the game's directory (or possibly overwrite an existing non-working one). I did some trial and error and the interesting thing was that it can go to pretty high resolutions in the settings, (even higher that what nfs3 can handle). I am now using 1024x768 but you can also go higher. :)

Roughly 70% computers tested ran it flawlessly.

When I played this as a little kid, I had somekind of weird version of this where CPU's were crazy as shit! They crashed them selves almost every curve and I laughed so hard that I crashed myself too! Everywhere I drove there was always cpu's car making flips. Gosh I miss those times.
