  • 0:02 :D haha

  • Hey my I ask, if you turn off the eq by pass switch, does it works without the battery? Beautyful bass by the way, thanks for sharing.

  • @Oswah Thanks.

Honestly, I've never taken the battery out of it, but it only powers the EQ and (has passive pickups, not active). I can only assume you'd be able to play with just the volume and balance knobs. I'll give it a try and report back.

  • @praft OOHH please do, thanks in advance!!!

  • @praft Please do!!! Thanks in advance.

  • @pipin199 Playing in my other videos... Translation - Jugando en mis otros videos

  • I like your accent. You sound like my relatives.

  • im currently the proud ower of sr700 and i love it to death but ive been thinking about upgrading to the 1200 or 1400 the only complaint i have is the fact they got rid of the bartolini mk1 pickups which is what my sr700 has so my question is should i buy it now or wait until new models come out and get it at a lower price?

  • Some Slap? Just to figure out how it sound like....

  • @Fatch1987 Sorry, slap is something I haven't mastered yet... Haven't really tried, but maybe someday. Search Ibanez SR1205 and there's a video of a guy playing the 5 string version that does a bit of slap.

  • What is the mid switch do exactly? Is it like a mid scoop kinda deal? Also I read that the Big Singles are supposed to be like jazz pu's on steroids? Are they, or do they sound more like soapbars?

  • @thizzxordie To be honest, I dont really use the mid-shift. I normally have it set to the off position. It just gives a bit of boost if you scale back your mid or leave it in neutral. As for the Big Singles, The only real bass I can compare it back to for sound is my old P-bass, since this is only my 2nd bass, and I haven't spent any extended periods of time/played live with any other basses. The sound from these is much fuller than the duncans that were installed on the P-bass.

  • @thizzxordie You get a lot more bottom end, and can adjust the EQ so you keep the high end cutting through. The sustain is great too, which was probably the first thing I noticed the first time I jammed with my band with this new bass. The best part about it might just be all of the compliments on how good it looks. It's a really sharp looking bass that others always seem to notice.

  • That "tone knob" is actually pickup balance- knob ;) I have SR1200 too and I just love it :)!!!

  • @tohsmir Yeah i know it changes your balance between pickups, but in doing so you obviously shape the tone between bass and treble. I just called it the wrong thing in the video....

  • Ibanez and Mac. You are a smart man.

  • @ROONTANG Agreed, thinking the same thing.

  • Would have been nice to hear how it sounds in passive mode :)
