@gtbol135qw Actually ,motor trend tested both 2012 models and with the new 530 hp gtr they said the ZO6 will catch the gtr right after the 1/4 mile . The ZO6 has a higher trap speed in the 1/4 and also on street legal tires can pull 1.13 g's .

Note the second faster car in the world runs a push rod V8. The fastest accelerating vehicles on earth run out dated super chargers. They are different cars - what should be looked at is that each of them can (stock) beat most other exotics 5 times their price and (modded) beat everything else still for a fraction of the price. The driver mod I was referring to was in relation to how fast the driver was changing gears. As I already stated, if you look up Pullie ZR1 vs turbo Gallardo and you will see what i meant.

This all comes down to one of those "you win some, you lose some" type deals. Skyline's are usually slower than Corvettes on the drag races, but on the tracks, they beat Corvettes. The only Corvette that can take a GTR on a track is the ZR1. And why? Because it costs literally twice as much as a GTR. I am a skyline fan for life. But once again, you win some, you lose some. Personally, I think both cars kick ass.

Who knows what mods were done to the GTR, and who knows what 550hp means, it could be to the wheels, and who knows if it's accurate. Last but not least LPE stage I are rated on the lingenfelter web site @ 680hp or (598whp, 590wtrq) not 720hp which further makes me question their claims.

@masonizere according to Lingenfelter web site the LPEstage-1 cost 2,995.00. But (with additional exhaust and a few other extras is would be 3,300 & would give u 710bhp/680trq…so I don’t know where u getting this 20k-20k. As is, the LPE stage 1 is 680hp/660trq or 599rwhp (without “additional” parts) is only 3k + install. While a swtizer P800kit 16,665 or 17k but still doesn’t include the install. So yeah u can get a P800kit and leave it in ur garage for 16k or pay swtizer performance...

GTR's best trap that I've seen is 121 in (-)DA's.
@donperrigon you mean a DOHC 3.8L TT, vs a SC pushrod V8, not to mention ATTESA systems which relied heavily on mechanical feedback, the system in the GT-R (ATTESA-ETS) uses electronic sensors and hydraulically-actuated clutches. It also has a yaw-rate feedback control system, effectively managing slip angle. The awd front & rear torque split can self adjust & go from 2:98 during a standing start to a maximum of 50:50. Oh & don't 4 get about the VDC (or launch control)

stock gt-r has like 415 awp tuned z06 540 hp and from a dig thats like a 1/4 mile drag race.the gtr would have got to about 140-150 before the zo6 passed it finally.a vette zr1 has 505 hp at the wheels so this has more hp at the wheels why did it lose so badly it has 35 more than the zr1?make excuses the gtr is bone stock and auto tranny heavier all wheel drive isnt great for top speed either.still i want a GTR i think its safer and more fun to drive drag racing
A 10 year old could drive a GTR, all it is is paddle shifts, and its AWD, takes no skill at all to drive. No clutch, no switching gears, its ALL computer driven.

A turbocharged AWD car does actually take significant skill to launch correctly. Creating boost by not using launch control and manually blipping the throttle then timing the engagement.

I skilled Z-6 driver could beat a GTR. easily, I seen stock Z06s at the track pulling low11s even high 10s, on stock runflats. Note the second faster car in the world runs a push rod V8. The fastest accelerating vehicles on earth run out dated super chargers. They are different cars - what should be looked at is that each of them can (stock) beat most other exotics 5 times their price and (modded) beat everything else still for a fraction of the price. The driver mod I was referring to was in relation to how fast the driver was changing gears. As I already stated, if you look up Pullie ZR1 vs turbo Gallardo and you will see what i meant.

This all comes down to one of those "you win some, you lose some" type deals. Skyline's are usually slower than Corvettes on the drag races, but on the tracks, they beat Corvettes. The only Corvette that can take a GTR on a track is the ZR1. And why? Because it costs literally twice as much as a GTR. I am a skyline fan for life. But once again, you win some, you lose some. Personally, I think both cars kick ass.

Who knows what mods were done to the GTR, and who knows what 550hp means, it could be to the wheels, and who knows if it's accurate. Last but not least LPE stage I are rated on the lingenfelter web site @ 680hp or (598whp, 590wtrq) not 720hp which further makes me question their claims.

But (with additional exhaust and a few other extras is would be 3,300 & would give u 710bhp/680trq…so I don’t know where u getting this 20k-20k. As is, the LPE stage 1 is 680hp/660trq or 599rwhp (without “additional” parts) is only 3k + install. While a swtizer P800kit 16,665 or 17k but still doesn’t include the install. @alqashee3 The guy who drove the GT-R doesn't have to know how to drive any idiot can press buttons and smash the gas pedal. The FACT is the GTR will DRIVE ITSELF to 11's all day long, Z06's have to have a decent driver to hit 11's. There is a video on here of a stock to the runflats runing 11.1-2's @ 126-7's. GTR's best trap that I've seen is 121 in (-)DA's.

@donperrigon you mean a DOHC 3.8L TT, vs a SC pushrod V8, not to mention ATTESA systems which relied heavily on mechanical feedback, the system in the GT-R (ATTESA-ETS) uses electronic sensors and hydraulically-actuated clutches. It also has a yaw-rate feedback control system, effectively managing slip angle. The awd front & rear torque split can self adjust & go from 2:98 during a standing start to a maximum of 50:50. Oh & don't 4 get about the VDC (or launch control)

i like both cars, but from the looks of it, this Z-06 is stock with a bad driver,a stock vette does this to a GTR, they r different cars, but a vette with a cam, headers, and tune is a beast, i still think the GTR shouldnt be losin races to N/A cars when it has 2 turbos, but thats what modds r 4 i guess

plain and simple they dont want to admit it but from a dead stop they cant get enough grip to race the vehicle against the STOCK AWD gtr ..and thats why they cry and ask for roll starts for them its easier get their cars set to high rpm's with big v-8 power gee who you thinks gonna win in top speed..try a dead stop race than see what happens

stock gt-r has like 415 awp tuned z06 540 hp and from a dig thats like a 1/4 mile drag race.the gtr would have got to about 140-150 before the zo6 passed it finally.a vette zr1 has 505 hp at the wheels so this has more hp at the wheels why did it lose so badly it has 35 more than the zr1?make excuses the gtr is bone stock and auto tranny heavier all wheel drive isnt great for top speed either.still i want a GTR i think its safer and more fun to drive drag racing

A 10 year old could drive a GTR, all it is is paddle shifts, and its AWD, takes no skill at all to drive. No clutch, no switching gears, its ALL computer driven.
If you want a real car, then the Z06 is the beast you want to drive!

Agreed about the paddle shifting to an extent, knowing when your power tapers off is really the only thing you need to know.
A turbocharged AWD car does actually take significant skill to launch correctly. Creating boost by not using launch control and manually blipping the throttle then timing the engagement.
