Not liking rollercoasters at all, I decided that this ride was a must do no matter how much i hated it...i hated it lol the ride over all was amazing but being someone that didn't like rollercoasters I really didn't enjoy it, this vid doesnt really show what happens but your basically in 4's and the chair throws you about backwards and near enough upside down at a few points but its worth doing cuz you'll regret it even if you hate rollercoasters

Unarguably the best ride of my life. The line is totally worth it, just wish they made it longer..... i mean since its in a big circle, they coulda made it longer, the lines woulda been the same length, they would need to add more cars though.

Question- When my husband and I were there in August 2011, we rode this twice. Both times, I noticed in the Dementor section that the first Dementor that comes right up to you has a light in its mouth (it takes a picture of your face around 3:17ish?), then on the smoke screen, instead of the skulls, it had our faces! Has anyone else noticed this?

@gleek1fan make sure to do the new rockit coaster at universal. I went on it yesterday and it was awesome! And a word of advice, When I went the entire harry potter section of the park was filled to capacity by 9:30 am and they were only letting people in in small chunks at a time. So get there early and expect long lines for harry potter.

@juliapearce22 some parts is a simulator like on Star Tours (better than that ride though because that ones super old) for example the quiddich bit is simulated and you are facing a tv screen while the cart jolts you and so on. however the bits with the spiders, womping willow, dementors... they are like robots and physically there, not on screen. they come SUPER close to you. I went on the it last yr so my memories not great but im pretty sure ure like hanging from a track above.

@DerekDomino1 it's both. if you have ever been on the spider-man ride it's like that, but on steroids. that's the best description i have for it. It's a really excellent ride! Any video does not do it justice. You just have to experience it first hand. And btw the line runs fast, it is a constantly moving line. I went the month after it opened and the wait time was 45 minutes, but in reality i waited 20 minutes.

This ride was "Bloody Brilliant!!!" Worth the hour plus wait. It was authentic and the props...OMG- you get so CLOSE!!! Silly me had to squint my eyes when Aragog and Dragon were IN YOUR FACE!!! Lol- so well done! A MUST for even the mildest potter fan. This muggle can't wait to go back again! The walk through in the castle before the ride had tons of cool models....best part was the walls of paintings "talking" to each other :) The butterbeer was dreamy and you must do the WAND EXPERIENCE too!

i remember riding this ride 5 times. i loved it. it was the best ride in the history of rides. now they need to make the ride inside of grinotts...with the dragon and have it play the bell sound to keep it calm. i seriosly started crying alittle when i started watching this video since the ride brought me so many memories

The second time I rode this, I think something was wrong with our cart because instead of taking us to the normal drop off, it took us to a random place, and this lady was like take the next right, the elevator up to 3, then down to one. It was so cool, they had things painted on the walls like "Filch's Office --->" It was an amazing adventure through Hogwarts <3

@omgitskelsx3 This is a special area they use to load people with a wheelchair or that would take longer than normal to get on the ride as to not slow down the line for everyone else. Someone special just wanted to ride when it was your turn to get off.
