@judyleasugar97 Prove it was him on the video. bin Laden looks nothing like the guy in the "admission" video. but it is DEFINITELY bin Laden in the MANY statements denying responsibility.
@judyleasugar97 DNA may have proved it was him they killed - not that it was him that committed the crimes he was accused of. To this day he has never been indicted for 9/11, because, in the words of FBI representatives "The evidence is inconclusive and is not enough on which to base an indictment". As for the DNA test of the corpse, it takes longer than that.
@judyleasugar97 I'm not defending him, I am simply a student of history. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. He used to be our ally. WE funded Al Qaeda to have them help us drive the Soviets out of Afghanistan back in the 80s. We were full of promises. Then when we got rid of the Soviets, we left. We didnt build schools, we didnt help the people. We spent billions on destruction and nothing on reconstruction. bin Laden's stated reason for hating the U.S. is imperialism.
The decisions of those in power are do not represent the wishes of those without. Most Americans are unaware of any kind of dealings within the middle east. The people in these comments including you and me never funded anyone. We go on with our jobs everyday and do our best to care for those that we love. Those in power in Washington made these decisions not the American people.
Have you ever look at the film of him talking about being behind 9/11 - and then looked at a picture of the guy? Please. We created Al Qaeda both with our money and with our foreign policies. All I am saying is that the buck doesnt stop with bin Laden. Neither did it stop with Hussein - another former ally WE funded and put in power. Those men were both guilty of horrible crimes BUT, blaming them alone is like blaming a gun in the hands of a murderer.
@judyleasugar97 Really? It seems you are the one in denial of the facts. I am glad they got him too - he was definitely a religious fanatic (although all religious are fanatics, really) and a murderer. I am just saying, if you are so glad they got him, are you also willing to express a desire to see the American leaders who handed him power be called guilty of every one of his crimes? Because they are.
@judyleasugar9 Claiming something may merelyevidence he wanted the credit - proving something in a court of law is rather different. But as Michael Moore said "I won't live in a country that behaves like this - and I'm not leaving". By the way, please tell me you aren't a human footprint denier :P I thought subintellectuals of that nature were relegated to religious lunacy and ultra-right-wing moronism.

Will Moore ever possess the courage to identify the powers that be (the puppet masters = corporations)& disregard the puppets (Bush/Obama)? Chomsky is an activist that is unafraid of acknowledging the Zionist power structure (corporatism). His films have done quite a bit with enlightening people but likewise to many activists that are blindly a DEM or REP, he will not explain the central problem (Chomsky wrote about democracy being subverted by corporations in the 60's).
And, the economy & basic life decency has lowered because of hustle-bustle of GOP & Democrats? Same or worse case seen in Japan, just today, rather bigger than before blast happened!
By the way, Kan is the surname or last name ubiqutous in China, or Korea or in Japan.

wow Mikey, I've lost some respect for you from this interview. If you think shyster ("show me a wall st. business criminal and/or zionist whose cock I haven't sucked") 'Bama is "smart," you've either lost your mind or are lying. He's engaged in nothing but a propaganda campaign re osama bin boogie man, & it seems like you're following suit. Why would any progressive want to see this corporatist liar in office for another 4 years? 12 years of Bush not enough for you?
Oh yeah, right, like it's Michael Moore's fault that Flints economy is in the shitter - it's the fault of the greedy companies that bailed looking for cheaper labor in Mexico, Indonisea and china... and a government that let them do it..
@znarf541 Moore wrote a movie explaining why Flint's economy is bad. Strong greedy unions thinking that companies have a huge supply of money to give them so they left to a place with people that actually work. Moore makes millions off of his movies but yet he refuses to donate a dime to his home town to make it better or to lower crime. He is as greedy as all the workers were there. Glorifying the problem and refusing to help has contributed to Flint's bad economy.
I read these comments and hear Moore talk I no longer question why our country has high unemployment and has a bad economy. And some new news, Flint, MI, Moores hometown, has the highest crime and he doesn't donate a dime to help prevent crime. He talks about socialism but doesn't donate a dime to help out. Ignorance is strength.
obviously the US wants every country to be like us..meaning capitalism, glorified slavery, and having to pay to live so that your boss can go on that extended golf trip, its too bad ameriCANS are really ameriDONTS, who dont know shit if they saw it
@SOLIDSNAKEXXX360 So you rather pay taxes(you will pay no matter what) so your politics (Obama) can go on extended vacations and drink a pint of beer while a small town is continuing to look for people after a tornado? Ignorance is strength.
I'm starting to think that our presence in Afghanistan has more to do with the $1 Trillion (no joke $1 TRILLION) lithium and other materials mine that they found there last summer.
Mr. Moore, you and I and all the other honest, sane Americans can continue to speak out and wish and hope, but how do we get the president to get our message?
Moore is way off base with this one. He's a fool if thinks there's a dime worth of difference between Bush and Obama. Bin Laden was a campaign ploy little more. Moore is right on most of the issues he's just so immature politically.
@Solareffects You're right, sadly, that we do not enjoy a free market economy - but I think the only thing stopping us from making that much needed transition is not having someone like Ron Paul in the White House and many more like him and his son, Rand, in Congress. When American voters start voting 'smart' our government will become more 'smart'. It's up to us. Always was and always will be - unless we fart around and end up losing our vote too! Nothing would make the banksters happier.
Once again - no discussion about habeus corpus or due process. There has never been a trial of Bin Laden... there has never been proof that he master minded 9/11. A little more nuanced thinking on this topic would have been better.
@MrDavidKnopfler I never heard a direct translation but i remember the media showing one of his tapes while saying that he confessed to being behind the 9.11 attacks
Michael, you are so well spoken, so knowledgeable and have such a beautiful heart. Thank you for ALL you do, not just your appearances on MSNBC but thanks for that too! :)
I like what he said about terrorists winning everytime we limit democratic rights. I don't agree to what he said in relation to Bin Ladin's death. In what way can it ever be justified to defend free democratic societies by acting like brute force mobs? The only thing coming out of the Bin Ladin killing is establishing him as an eternal symbol for the jihadists.
Michael, ALL of the bailouts were wrong. FAILING businesses need to be allowed to FAIL. If there is a demand for that failed businesses product then they will be absorbed by new and different, and hopefully more successfully run 'businesses' and the displaced employees with them.
@theonlykatii The difference Moore wishes to make, that you obviously missed, is that the auto industry was and could still be (if we worked hard enough) at least SOMEWHAT controlled by unions. Helping the people who are suffering because of the bad choices of 6 men is a much better action than the people who destroyed their own golden idol (wallstreet)
@AntiChristAntiFail Nope, I didn't miss it. I disagree with it - obviously. The auto unions are just as corrupt and greedy as those 6 men you mentioned, and that they 'represent' the little guy doesn't make them 'better'.
@imaginepeace63 Has GM paid back their bailout yet? If not, then it has not worked out for the people. Not in my view. I appreciate they are producing electric cars, but THEY should have had to pay for it, not us. For all we know if they'd been allowed to go down they'd have made room for an even better car mfg. company that would build even better cars - a market demand that GM gets to ignore because it's "too big to fail"
@imaginepeace63 Well, until the day comes this nation isn't it debt anymore, and until there is one country in the world with socialized medicine that also isn't in debt is the day I'd consider supporting it in this country. I'm not going to support anything that will create more debt, and socialized medicine does.
@bbbbmer I was just thinking to myself these two should co-host a show together and then I read your comment. Moore and O'Donnell certainly bring a lot of much needed humanity to the table.
CAPITALISM was designed only for CORRUPT OPPORTUNISTIC MANIPULATIVE LAZY POLITICIAN. BANKERS. LAWYERS. DRUG LORDS. JUDGES. TERRORIST. ELITE CRIMINALS. DICTATORS. RULERS. KING. SULTANATE. EMPEROR etc. etc..
SAVE the ANIMALS & NATURE. HARD WORKING PEACE LOVING HAPPY HONEST SOCIETY needs SECURE FUTURE & FREEDOM..!!! END DEBT.
---- copy & paste WE ARE THE 99% ----
BURN THE BANKS. BURN DRUG LORDS ALIVE & OCCUPY THE WORLD...!!!
BURN THE BANKS. BURN DRUG LORDS ALIVE & OCCUPY THE WORLD...!!!
Obama is a puppet, Democrat = controlled opposition, Democratic party = The Graveyard of social movements. NOT saying the Republicans are any better (no in fact they are much worse) and that I don't agree with much of what Mike is saying. We need a REAL social progressive civil libertarian with non-interventionist foreign policy and a FAIR and SOUND plan for international trade getting out of the WTO and the UN. Focus tax payer money on infrastructure and jobs not banker bailouts and contractors
@theonlykatii Ron Paul or a Ralph Nader, I don't know why Michael wasted his and our time cheering for the Democratic party all this time. They are losers, look at Obama he is the same thing as George Bush except he knows how to talk, but he still doesn't know how to run a country LOL. They are responsible for CRUSHING the union movement, the antiwar movement, populist movement and every other grassroots movement they either absorb it or destroy it. We need REAL change, a Socialist Libertarian.
@MadXMax187 Gary Johnson is a possibility too but he's not getting much notice from the electorate or any meaningful attention from faux media. Moore needs to stop being a 'party loyalist' and start being an 'American loyalist'. Yes, the Dem and Rep parties are losers; the only thing they do well is like you said, they CRUSH everything good about America, which has come full circle to become exactly what the Founders ran away from: OPPRESSION = TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION.
@theonlykatii Exactly, it wouldn't even be hard for Mike to come out of his partisan shell... All he would have to do is study a brief history of the democratic party and how it is the GRAVEYARD of social movements. Democrats and Republicans are the main obstacle between America and Prosperity, after that I'd say its these biased news channels like Fox and MSNBC like Malcolm X said: You got your foxes and coyotes. Most people don't know income tax was created with the federal reserve act in 1913
@biguy617 Only if you are an unenlightened American, where conservative means: Big government christian state with strong military. And Liberal means: wimpy sell out who would rather pick the "lesser of two evils" than the RIGHT CHOICE to begin with. Look it up, the terms do NOT cancel each other out, civil libertarian and socially and economically progressive. Google: Libertarian Socialism and STFU please
@MadXMax187 I guess that is why so many libertarians hate socialism. That is the thing the tea party hates the most. They say it like the robot from Lost in space says "Danger will robinson. Actually liberal means power of the people. Democrat means lesser of two evils since not all democrats are liberal. "
@biguy617 Google it dude: Libertarian Socialist, there is a Wikipedia article about it so maybe you can quit being an idiot. I'm not a fan of the "tea party" or any other WHACK ass generalization you might come up with for me. I don't belong to any party because NONE represent ME or the American people for that matter just a bunch of suits coming in and out of revolving doors. Obama is owned by Wall Street oligarchs and wealthy plutocrats who control this country. GOOGLE LIBERTARIAN SOCIALIST K?
Thanks for speaking on these issues Mike.

Michael, I love you to pieces! but you need to get behind RON PAUL ... had he been elected in 2008 we WOULD ALREADY BE OUT OF THESE WARS!
RON PAUL 2012!!!

@theonlykatii ROn Paul is against single payer healthcare. He has a campaign manager that worked ofr Buchanan and Pat Robertson.

@imaginepeace63 Well, until the day comes this nation isn't it debt anymore, and until there is one country in the world with socialized medicine that also isn't in debt is the day I'd consider supporting it in this country. I'm not going to support anything that will create more debt, and socialized medicine does.

Michael Moore AND Lawrence O'Donnell are GREAT Americans.

@bbbbmer I was just thinking to myself these two should co-host a show together and then I read your comment. Moore and O'Donnell certainly bring a lot of much needed humanity to the table.

@MadXMax187 In describing what we need you just described Ron Paul
theonlykatii 9 months ago
@theonlykatii Ron Paul or a Ralph Nader, I don't know why Michael wasted his and our time cheering for the Democratic party all this time. They are losers, look at Obama he is the same thing as George Bush except he knows how to talk, but he still doesn't know how to run a country LOL. They are responsible for CRUSHING the union movement, the antiwar movement, populist movement and every other grassroots movement they either absorb it or destroy it. We need REAL change, a Socialist Libertarian.
MadXMax187 9 months ago
@MadXMax187 Gary Johnson is a possibility too but he's not getting much notice from the electorate or any meaningful attention from faux media. Moore needs to stop being a 'party loyalist' and start being an 'American loyalist'. Yes, the Dem and Rep parties are losers; the only thing they do well is like you said, they CRUSH everything good about America, which has come full circle to become exactly what the Founders ran away from: OPPRESSION = TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION.
theonlykatii 9 months ago
@theonlykatii Exactly, it wouldn't even be hard for Mike to come out of his partisan shell... All he would have to do is study a brief history of the democratic party and how it is the GRAVEYARD of social movements. Democrats and Republicans are the main obstacle between America and Prosperity, after that I'd say its these biased news channels like Fox and MSNBC like Malcolm X said: You got your foxes and coyotes. Most people don't know income tax was created with the federal reserve act in 1913

@MadXMax187 A socialist libertarian? Those two terms cancel each other out.
biguy617 9 months ago
@biguy617 Only if you are an unenlightened American, where conservative means: Big government christian state with strong military. And Liberal means: wimpy sell out who would rather pick the "lesser of two evils" than the RIGHT CHOICE to begin with. Look it up, the terms do NOT cancel each other out, civil libertarian and socially and economically progressive. Google: Libertarian Socialism and STFU please
MadXMax187 9 months ago
@MadXMax187 I guess that is why so many libertarians hate socialism. That is the thing the tea party hates the most. They say it like the robot from Lost in space says "Danger will robinson. Actually liberal means power of the people. Democrat means lesser of two evils since not all democrats are liberal. "
biguy617 9 months ago
@biguy617 Google it dude: Libertarian Socialist, there is a Wikipedia article about it so maybe you can quit being an idiot. I'm not a fan of the "tea party" or any other WHACK ass generalization you might come up with for me. I don't belong to any party because NONE represent ME or the American people for that matter just a bunch of suits coming in and out of revolving doors. Obama is owned by Wall Street oligarchs and wealthy plutocrats who control this country. GOOGLE LIBERTARIAN SOCIALIST K?
