@Vindonesian not really. Depends on the hamster. Mine hurt themselves more in the silent spinner but I have seen some smash into their cage with the saucer

@Vindonesian I am no help. I had both, This style takes up a lot more room in the habitat. I would periodically switch them out. Even with a dwarf get a bigger wheel though, my winter white needed a mid sized

So I have the silent spinner for my hamster... and its not so silent when clipped to the side of the cage.... looking on amazon for an alternative and i found the saucer... a quick youtube search... and MAN oh man are those guys cute! sped up JUST right!

@Siranna They're not any worse than the enclosed wheels, I don't think anyway. My hammies would go too fast in the regular wheel and flip around/get tossed out more often than this style. I think it depends on the hamster!
