  • Great videos! It looks as if you may be able to drop the holder down further for less of an imprint above the belt line. I will try this with mine. Thanks again!

  • @nicholasputz Nevermind I just saw you addressed this later in your video! :D

  • good god my glock 20 10mm is gonna print like a howitzer .... I thought the M tac would stop the print... oh well

  • @36gh0zt36 yup, but now you know i guess.

  • Nice review, and nice gun.

  • Concealing your full-size pistol is one thing, but the most important thing in a defensive situation is the " ease of draw " . Perform a quick draw, point and shoot toward whatever represents a " danger " to you.

Do some drawing drill and by the way if these are your favorite shirts and t-shirts, make sure you have 2 of each. I can't tell you how many of mines I've tore up practicing drawing. I also broke two bathroom mirrors.

Have fun, enjoy your 2nd Amendment.

  • YOU NEED A GUN BELT

  • canting is very important. good videos..

  • That video was very helpful! I was expecting to eyeball because most videos showcase with different pistols. Yours was spot-on and it really helped clarifying a lot of questions for me! I think I will go with MTAC for my USP :)

  • Thank you for that video, well done,

  • Your two videos on this holster have been very helpful to me, thank you for making them!

  • @Greywolf3 Thanks for your personal message. As a consumer, buyers remorse is just a huge PITA, so hopefully I have helped this audience take some of the guesswork out of a very serious purchase. Thanks for watching!

  • Hey thank you for this review. I as well have been carrying a HK USP 45 Full size, and it is a pain. I think based on your review I will have to get one. Thanks again.

    P.S.

I don't think your voice is so annoying.

  • Thanks for the video. Looking for an IWB holster for a Sig P239.

I think the darker shirts hide it better.

  • Just a tip. Don't allow any piece of equipment to cross your spine. LEOs have been paralyzed by falling on things mounted to the small of their backs like that.

  • @inbox485 Makes sense to me. Thanks for posting.

  • your voice isn't annoying. It's fine.

  • your voice sounds ok to me.

  • I have my MTAC on order myself, it should be here next week. I am glad to find your vid...as I am exactly the same size as you lol, u said your pants were 34/34 ha! what a coincidence! lol, But I will be attempting to conceal a M&P .45 fullsize, I believe the grip is a little longer, but overall much thinner than your sig.

  • nice video :) when ever you move the gun deeper into pants, ive notice it makes it a lot harder to grip the gun and draw efficiently. but on the other side, if its to high, you have to raise your shoulder super high when drawing. i guess its just up to everyone to try and see what works best for them. great video though, i think im gonna try the minitar next :)

  • You need a good belt!

  • Despite it being a full sized pistol I am impressed at the level of concealment possible with the holster if you pay attention to what you're wearing as well as your movement (should probably be doing that no matter what size your ccw is - just my .02) but nonetheless it seemed to conceal well. Thank you for going to the extent you did to demonstrate the printing issues as well as the fit. I really appreciate the in-depth review of how it conceals rather than just its construction.

  • @hennigan03

Thanks! I have been working on Comp-tac to let me review more of their products, but they didnt bite. They were supposed to have their own videos of each product up by September of 2009 but as you can see they only have one video completed. Gordon Carrell and Greg Garrett are the guys I asked. I think people who order their products should add "ignip" to their orders and maybe that would help.

  • For the retention, I think you can adjust it just by heating it with a blow drier, not too much but just enough until pliable (if you heat it too much it will become shiny and you'll mess it up. But once you heat it, put your gun back in unloaded and push down on the spot where it holds on the trigger guard and that should make it tighter.

  • @jepp114

This is probably work just fine. I will post results if I attempt it.

    Thanks for watching!

  • @jepp114 pretty sure that they have screws built in to adjust the tension. not trying to be a dick. just want to help.

  • @hitman5652 If you listen to his part 1 of this video, @0:50 , he's already at max tension.

  • Good review, thanks!

Two words, though: Galco Gunbelt....I swear by them. They're built to carry the weight of a full frame sidearm.

Also, your pistol doesn't print as badly as you may think it does--but I know I'm just as extra self-conscious about it w/ mine, too. I usually wear darker tees and a short sleeve button down collared shirt (left unbuttoned and worn like a jacket) over that to make double sure I don't print. The MTAC is tempting as I'm having comfort issues with my CTACs.

  • Great review man! I just got mine and I love it. Although I am slightly larger than you and wear XL tshirts, I find that I can conceal it much better. Also have you tried wearing it at 3 O'clock postion? Suprisingly with my Crossbreed holster, it worked out very well and still concealable. I'm going to try it with the MTAC for a few weeks to see how it feels. Anyways, this video really helped out when I had ordered mine. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the feedback. I have tried to carry at 3 o'clock, but there is too much pressure put on the crest of my pelvis.I would like to have it there, but it doesn't work for me. Also makes your pants feel crooked in my experience. Good Luck!

  • Because I can't afford every pistol.

How should the cant be adjusted then?

A Glock is not His pistol.

I choose carry over no carry.

  • Plus also in the vid he is not wearing a gun belt. Gun belts help alot also.

  • It takes an extreme level of dedication to lug that H&K around. Thats what it takes to have an extreme level of firepower. Good call.

  • hows the wear on the gun. does the leather keep the gun totally covered from the body i am a big guy and sweat alot and dont want it on my gun

  • I thought I replied to this already, but I dont see it. The finish wore quickly at first, but it seems to have stopped. Very acceptable for a tool, you probably won't like it if aesthetics are # 1.

Nothing touches but a small portion of the grip on me. Mine gets condensation on it. It gets lint on it too.

  • hows the wear on the gun is it normal holster wear or a little more agressive.

  • Yep, I agree that bringing the holster down and adding a belt made some difference. Thanks, but i think I'm going to buy a Crossbreed Supertuck.

  • Great review. Tucking it deeper in your pant line with the belt made quit the difference. I'm a thin guy like you and was considering getting a Glock 19. You managed conceal your full sized pistol fairly well but I think I'm going to stick to my slim little Kahr p9. Still plan on picking up a MTAC holster though.

  • Hey man, I'm kind of Chubby at 5ft11 and 208lbs. I'm looking for an option for carrying a G19 in the middle of my back (concealed). I unfortunately have some love handles that don't go away even when I am working out and skinny so carrying on my side doesn't make much sense. What do you think? I already have a nice reinforced gunbelt.

    Thanks for any help.

  • maybe if you carried closer to 3 o clock, it wouldnt print so bad when you bend over.

  • Just for future reference when making a weapon safe it's much safer to drop the mag first, i realize you knew the weapon was unloaded, but when making a weapon safe it's safer to drop the mag first because this will prevent one from accidentally rechambering the weapon again say, if the weapon had a fully loaded magazine!

  • You are exactly right kiser73. Safety is a priority. Thanks for viewing.

  • Very informative, Thanks.

  • I haven;t had much luck with my Mtac either. A strong belt to support the weight will make a huge difference, though. I suggest the Wilderness Instructors belt. Strong, and not expensive as similar leather belts.

  • nice vid!

  • Also forgot to mention you need a belt to hold it closer to your body

  • You should move the clips for the holster and work on the Kant

  • Comment removed

  • Hmmm... dirty viewers ehh? Keep your cloths on... please. Dear god!

  • Huge fan of your reviews so far! But, I think you looked hotter without the hat as in your first video and at the end of this one. Additionally, I'd rather see you take all your clothes off rather than try on a bunch of different shirts.

  • Thanks for the review. I'm looking for a IWB holster for my duty Sig P229R. I was considering a Galco SkyOps, but now I'm sold on a MTAC.

    Thanks
