  • Thumbs up if you downloaded this commercial from Pirate Bay!

  • Lets all call that number and say:

Um my car is gone and I think some one downloaded it...What should I do?

  • Whatever. No one gives a fuck. Piracy is awesome.

  • I paid 18 euros for a DVD, saw this and got sudden urge to burn 20 copies of it and give it for free to some random people on the street...

  • 1-800-251-996? You're one digit short.

  • this is the internet age, they should find way to make it cheaper for people and the internet is an easy way, if im taking my time to download and burn it to a cd i bought i not paying 20 or 30 bucks for it, i might as well go to the store and buy it it should be like 5 or something i download it and enjoy.......what alot of people dont know in the mpaa eye if invite a friend over to watch it with or loan it to that person its stealing

  • Well of course im going to download. The prices of things are not exactly going down. And as long as hyper inflation keeps striking this country the prices wont be going down anytime soon so fuck you. I will download as much as i want

  • I thought stealing meant that your obtaining a particular item meant that someone else no longer has that item as a result?

  • The most ridiculous part of this commercial is how quick that movie is downloading. considering when this commercial was made.

  • /watch?v=_B9ZTApTM_Q I'll just leave this here. Also, if you're too dumb to get it, he's maikng fun of piracy laws

  • of course i wouldnt steal a movie...i already downloaded it from online...

  • Putting this ad on legitimate DVDs is preaching to the choir a tad.

  • This is why i'd rather watch pirated stuff!!

  • Just burn a dvd/blu-ray and remove the warnings :P.

  • FAKE and GAY

  • yeah, the film and music industries are going to collapse... or at least the executives will have to start wiping their asses with 50 dollar bills instead of using 100's.

  • So Japaneren so you never shared a bicycle or a toy?

I did and I do the same with movies and music.

    TY for SHARING this Video!

  • Ironically, this commercial is what made me aware of the piracy market.

  • Well, I've seen a lot of pirated DVDs with this kind of intro hahahahahahahaahha

  • Stealing is taking something away from someone so that they don't have it any more, downloading a pirated movie is copying it so both parties have it

  • @Scarjaka Criminal conversion which is still theft does not require you depriving them of said item so yes it is still stealing. It is illegal to use someones WIFI or TV while you are not taking something you are not paying for it.

  • @leonia97 k

  • @Scarjaka Pirating means one less potential customer. If everyone pirated games/movies/music, the entertainment industry would go out of business and there would be nothing new made to entertain us. They work hard to entertain us, so they can make a profit. It's not about whether we're taking physical copies or not. It's not so much the physical media they're selling, but the entertainment that comes with it.

  • @HeartOfTheNoob

Pirating doesn't equal one less potential customer.

    Most pirates do so because

    A) They weren't planning on spending money on it anyways

    B) They can't afford it even if they wanted to buy it.

I think a very small portion of pirates would actually put down money for the things they pirate.

  • That, is pure crap, reasearch has shown that the ones who download the most ALSO buys the most, so they are actually going after some of their best customers

  • I get the feeling they have misjudged their target audience; I have never seen this warning at the start of a pirated movie, only the ones I pay for ;)

  • If you pirate a movie from the internet, you don't have the unskippable warnings, the unskippable promos, and all of the other crap they try to sell you. Just the movie - which is what you wanted in the first place.

Sometimes it is absolutely worth it to download just to avoid the "you're probably a criminal!" warnings on the DVDs.

If you are going to assume that I'm a criminal movie pirate, I might as well do the crime.

  • I Fucking hate this video! Every fucking DVD i'm forced to watch this before i can see my movie! Never had to watch it on a pirated movie though :P

  • Piracy isn't stealing...stealing would be if someone took something from another person and now they don't have it anymore. Piracy just makes a copy, how can you steal something that they still have? You damn right I would copy a car or handbag if that were possible.

  • @Cressx A group of people makes a game/movie. They made it because they're a business, and they're counting on people to pay for the right to own it legally. When someone pirates, that's one less potential customer, because in most cases, they enjoy it for free, get bored of it, then delete it/let it collect dust. Although I admit, there are exceptions to every rule. I pirated Minecraft, and ended up buying it 1-2 months later for example.

  • this reminds me of what darwin said on the amazing world of gumball.

  • That's right, shake those letters! I hope your trembling in fear! That'll teach you to copy a film on the internet so that others can watch it it, you vile sharing person, you!

  • It's funny because it isn't true.

  • Bankers charging interest on money they don't have should be a crime but they don't care so why should anyone feel bad about replicating 101010 to their computer?

  • Watching this reminds me of those things the Darwin character was saying to the protagonist Gumball in the show 'The Amazing World of Gumball'.

  • This PSA is just hilarious...knowing how many classmates of mine just pirate movies like crazy..XD

  • Funny thing is this doesn't show up on movies you pirate, only on movies you bought.

  • I love how it assumes I wouldn't steal a movie if im willing to pirate it...

  • There's not enough numbers to call.

    1 800 251 996.... What's the last number?

  • Only MPAA could make such a retarded argument. Downloading movies is nothing like stealing a car or a purse. Those are real, tangible belongings...movies are limitless, free replications of the same product. I wouldn't steal a car, but if I could clone one for free out of thin air I sure as hell would.

  • @dmterel Criminal conversion which is still theft does not require you depriving them of said item so yes it is still stealing. It is illegal to use someones WIFI or TV while you are not taking something you are not paying for it.

  • @unigolyn and do you know what cost a movie? ignorant

  • @rkyeun ye. i downloaded avatar twice before cinematic release ( one with Spanish subs and then one with English) i then bought the dvd.

  • i dont get it. first they say that you wouldnt steal something and then they show someome stealing it without giving a shit.

  • DO WHAT YOU WANT CUZ A PIRATE IS FREE. YOU ARE A PIRATE!

YARR HAR FIDDLE DEE DEE BEIN A PIRATE IS ALRIGHT TO BE DO WAT YA WANT CUZ A PIRATE IS FREE YOU HARR A PIRATE!

  • Read the details in my profile to find out why piracy logically doesn't hurt anyone and that it's our capitalistic practices that are hurting the artists (the characters limit makes it too difficult to type it out here).

  • At some point in my life, I might actually do those things. Draconian advert, catchy music though.

  • @TheMiniEvilGuy Draconian ?

    you mean the band ?

  • IF I COULD I WOULD!

  • hahahahaha I just "stole" this video for my project at school lol it said piracy is stealing in the midle of the download bar XD

  • only 50?

  • One little thing.

I WOULD KILL for that girls download speed. I mean seriously, it's epic.

More serious note, the Government, are daft. They still think there propoganda, actually affects the general populace. Which, only in the intense majority it does, as proven, by the comments, right here. Anyway, Peace Y'all.

    Or!gin-Khorne...Sanguine...

  • i would too at least

    700MB in a few seconds !!! its roughly 280megabit!!!

  • nuff said

  • The piracy equivalent for cars is making yourself a replica that resembles a Mercedes from custom-machined parts, NOT stealing one from a dealership, as the MPAA wants everyone to believe.

I believe that people should still purchase creative work that they like (there's no such thing as a free lunch), but this ad compares apples and oranges.

  • lol if you compare it, youldnt steal the car, but copy it!!!

  • Hahah everytime I go to the movies and the show this clip I'm always downloading at home xD

  • Its Hilarious because I would probably do all of these things.

On a serious note, this whole p2p thing isn't piracy, and either is torrenting, its merely making a copy of something, not stealing which is what piracy entails. And besides, people will still want new film's and software, and its a known fact that the majority of people still go out and buy music, or go to the theatre.

  • "Why do I have to watch this crud accusing me of stealing when watching a DVD I just purchased?

    It's freaking ridiculous."

    -------------------------------------------------------

    Agreed!

When we buy DVD's, we're accused for piracy. Just like the terrorism accusiations, cctv cams everywhere in England. Everyone's a terrorist.

  • lol dont download movies

    download video games

  • Copying and downloading does not necessarily equate to piracy, immoral acts, nor copyright infringement. Besides there are plenty of legal sites to copy and download all sorts of free content and applications. And believe me, when the nations and the whole world system collapses...there will be a rise in both trading and bartering. And growth in black markets. More people will wake up to being taught, conditioned and treated as both citizen annd consumerist slaves. And even join in piracy.

  • I sure as hell would've stolen the handbag, car and movie in a past life.

So I guess this ad wasn't aimed at me.

  • I bought a movie a couple of months ago and it had this bullshit propaganda, you can't fast forward it or anything, I'm gonna stick to downloading my movies from now on thanks to this.

  • FLAG videos that DON''T support Piracy!

  • I do this for a living.I make lots of money doing this.I will never get caught

  • sarcasm?

  • What a shitty video.

And if we could download a purse or a car "pirated," I think I would do it too haha.

  • You know what I love? The hypocrisy on display here. Hollywood and the MPAA can charge its consumers and the theaters whatever it wants to display its movies, yet I should feel guilty about keeping a few large corporations from sucking more money from people below them?

The Dark Knight made 900 million dollars at the box office while I have to fork over five bucks for a small tub of popcorn. Want to stop piracy? Stop releasing garbage in your theaters and blaming us for poor numbers,

  • The most ridiculous part about this video is that piracy is NOT stealing. Anyone who thinks that it is should lose their right to vote since they are clearly retarded. If that car thief would have "pirated" the car, he would be driving away in the car while it's still standing there on the street for the owner to find, without a scratch. Piracy = sharing digital copies. The source is left intact. It's an immoral act, but to claim that it is stealing is beyond ridiculous.

  • I totally agree with you, however, the creator of this short film realizes that there ARE a bunch of retarded idiots who don't understand the difference between sharing digital copies and stealing. Also, calling it "stealing" is more appealing to the viewing population.

But yeah, I agree with you.

  • @Meatrose I agree with every point ( their reasoning in support of anti-piracy is based on a logical fallacy: strawman argument ) but when you say immoral you do mean in the descriptive sense?

  • I hope they do realize that most pirated movies will not include this warning, but all legitimate movies will. Brilliant.

  • Capitalists fail again!

  • I doubt blue rays will be downloaded LOL imagine how long it would take to download.

Even DVD's are huge files and compressed one's are not as good as the real deal, listen to mp3's and then listen to the original disc it's usually better. Mp3's and compressed movies are nothing but lower quality of the original source material. So you really not stealing the same thing they sell in stores. Leave us alone and go after the people who make perfect copies of your material

  • do what i do, download the torrent for the movie. Just dont use limewire for it.

  • hey does any one know any good music that sounds scary and a bit like horror, or similar to the music found in this video

    plz reply soon, thx

  • Well, I'm not downloading "pirated films", I'm downloading "films".

  • dude this is starting to be on every dvd out there..

its on saw 2 uncut, jackass two

patheic, why the hell would a girl download a movie before school.. lmao

  • No i would not steal a car/handbag/movie

but i would share with my friends ^_^

  • That was retarded.

  • I hate the RIAA!

  • You mean MPAA?

    RIAA is for music.

  • no i mean the RIAA, they took half the music videos off here

  • Stealing leaves the owner of [ITEM] without [ITEM] .. Piracy leaves [ITEM] and the pirate gets [COPY]. Not stealing. Tis simpel as that..

  • amen

  • Lol, true!!!

  • Thanks for uploading this. THOSE GUYS SUCK!

  • no its not :)

  • A holes.
