  • your saying its illeagal to use this for gams you dont own yet you use CFW which is illeagal

  • @evilmonkeymonster its not illegal to use CFW, it just voids the warranty of the PSP. Sony dont care what you do to your psp but if you void the warranty, they wont help you if your psp bricks or something.

  • Whenever i plug in my usb, it only comes up with the default psp files, i've done as shown but it still won't come up with the umd iso. any suggestions?

  • @cheesepeetza are you using custom psp firmware? if you are, then are you putting the usb mode to umd disc in the vsh menu?

  • Only thing that bugs me about this....UMD recognition for Tag Force.

  • Great tutorial! thanks

  • very nice tutorial helped me out alot finaly a good tutorial un youtube!

  • its not really illegal, only if you sell it

  • @the1hero1of1time yeah that's true. but you shouldn't really have an iso of a psp game if you don't own the game. then again, nobody can stop you.

  • Thanks for the tutorial man! I've been out of the psp scene for like 2 years now and this really helped.

  • Thanks for this. It's almost all done on the computer!

  • how do u up grade ur psp to 6.20

  • @wonseleah you can't upgrade to 6.20 m33 custom firmware, it hasnt been released. the highest released m33 custom firmware is 5.00 m33-6

  • thanks alot dude 5 stars

  • do you need cfw to do this?

  • @demon9047 yes you do need cfw to run the psp disc images

  • thanks, u learn somethin new everyday

  • i have custom firmware version 5.00 M33-6

    will it work on that?

  • it should do, yes

  • did yous work or not

    because i have 5.00 m33-4

  • i can store up to 4.7 gig on each disc and thats about 5-6 games on a disc, and im useing dvd+rw disc but i cant burn them all on 1 disc it will only let me burn 1 per disc do you have a program that will let me do it?

  • sorry mate but i have never tried saving umd games onto disc.

  • what...? you wanna copy UMD game files to a blank DVD-R? so just use Roxio CD Creator or Nero Burning Rom, make a new data-disc project and add 1 or more files to the project up to 4.3 Gigabytes (4400 Megabytes) and burn the disc.

  • @kylesmokey1 There is a program called NERO Burning Rom ;)

  • thanks for UMDgen idear, all my downloaded psp games are iso files now and when i try to burn them on a disc i can only burn 1 per disc, i use imgburner, can you help!!

  • i dont think you will get many games on a DVD-R. PSP UMDs vary in size but they are mostly large.

  • no i have a downgraded psp and i can download psp games and play them off my memory card, but i want to no how to put the downloaded psp games on a disc

  • i have answered this at the end of my last comment. once you have generated a disk image from UMDGen, copy it onto a disc instead of onto the psp.

  • hi mate do you no how to put psp games on a disc??? please get back to me. also i have dvd-r and dvd+rw to put the psp games on the disc. cheers kyle

  • do you mean how do you put the games on a psp-readable umd? if so, im afraid this cant be done.

if you mean how can you backup the games onto a CD, then just burn the PSP game images that you create using UMDGen onto that disk.

  • thnx^^

  • hi iwant to dongrade my psp 1000 from ofw5.50 to cfw 5.00 m33-6 with out using pandora please help me

  • sorry mate but i dont know how to downgrade your psp without a pandora

  • urmm their is a way if u still want to know the answer then ask and i will tell

  • @zeshybadboy ur gay

  • HEY SAME THEME!!!!

  • Oh typo, I'm running on 5.03. I don't even think 4.03 exists.

  • correct it is 4.01 not 4.03

  • Hey man, just want to say THANK YOU! I just got an 8 gig and I've been wanting to backup my games since I'm going on a trip soon. I have a PSP 3000 as well running the 4.03 M33 GEN-A, so anyone else running with that can rest assured this works A+. I also found out something else, if you boot the game through the memory stick without switching to the M33 driver and the UMD is in the PSP, the PSP will boot it through the UMD but run it off the memory stick. Again, thank you man.

  • how do u make a cfm

  • what do you mean by cfm?

  • im useing winzip its takeing forever

  • i have 5.00m33-6 is that ok

  • yeah it should be fine

  • It does thats what I used. Thanks for the help man. Great vid!

  • danks dude dis thing actually works. also thanks to my friend bigphillip!

  • um whenever i try to copy my GTA LCS umd it says cannot be copied halfway through it halp :\

  • i mean when copying the iso from the umd into my hard drive

  • is the ISO small enough to fit on the memory stick?

  • yea i think i MAY have found a new way. im extracting it with winrar to my hard drive file by file so they dont show as 0kb and then making it an iso. if it works cheers =D

  • Thank you very much men!

    You helped me a lot!!..

    more Power!

  • ahhhm..hey...i have a question...can i delete the game in umd?? through usb mode?? and i change the game...exmple..the game in umd is daxter..then i connect my usb cable(umd disc) then i want to delete the daxter and change it..is it possible?? reply please..tnx....

  • if you mean can you change the data thats stored on the umd, then no. umd disks are non re-writable.

  • ahh yeah..thanks...

  • Any ideas? Anyone?

  • Thanks.. but PSP ISO Compresser is alot better.

  • Hay man I've followed your steps to the letter but I have encountered a problem. The game is backedup sweet, but the game runs REALLY jumpy. I've tried lowering the compression rate aswell but its still doing the same. The game is GTA LCS. Any help would be GREAT! Thanks

  • i am not sure whether it is possible to make the game run any better. if you compress it with the lowest compression rate and it is still choppy then it may just be the game. different games work in different ways when compressed. or it might be your version of the game. all i can suggest is try lowering the compression rate to the lowest number possible (as long as it still fits on your memory stick) and see if it still is choppy. if it is, then i cant help you much. sorry

  • Haha, You use an eyetoy too as a webcam, Btw, Nice Tutorial,

is there any way i can put downloaded .csos onto the umds?? :S

  • no, the psp can not write to umds. as far as i know, there does not exist any form of a umd writer.

  • this really works. tanks for your help.

  • great vid very well explained for a dummy like me to follow lol

  • cool

  • alright i got it all the way but when i go to copy the cso to my memorystick it says file is not located in the spot where i saved it and stops the copy about 1/8 done.

  • try dumping the image again

  • nice work man, ***** easily. really easy to understand and follow thx!

(same goes for your other video on how to update to m33-2)

  • i have a question. do you no longer need GTA or lumines umd in the psp to to run the iso's and cso's anymore? can you now just press select and choose option m33 driver and it will work ok?

  • you do not need the umd in the psp when you run a cso/iso image, no

  • wicked, thanks for that. and all your posts have been excellent.

    thanks for your help

  • why do u need to brick a psp srry im new to this stuff

  • i would have thought that you wouldnt want to brick the psp because bricking a psp means not being able to use it at all.

  • how the hell did u get 372 mb?

  • it depends on the game that you are trying to copy. the example, hot pixel, must be a small game to copy.

  • can you tell me thet how to copy contents to the umd ?

  • there is no way of writing data onto umds.

  • How do you play downloaded psp games? Do you have to back them up to play them or is there an emulator somewhere out there

  • i dont know becuase i dont download psp games.

  • Thanks dude worked perfectly

  • dude i downloaded a game but after i extracted it, a umd data thingy and a psp-game folder shows up. i dont know wat to do cause im not suppose to but these in the psp mem stick. can anyone help me?

  • can you give me the exact names of the files that appear in the archive?

  • i think i downloaded a iso right, and i got the game file rar or something, i extract it and a folder called psp-game and a file thats like 1 kb named UMD Data shows up

  • ive never had that before. have you tried opening it in UMDGen?

  • it only happens when i download iso files. i even tried using umdgen but it doesnt work. i open umdgen and try to open the file but theres nothing to compress or something

  • im sorry then but i dont know what is going on there. try downloading the isos from a different place

  • dont open the file just leave it like that and it should work fine

  • WiiMasterDs: when you use umd gen and you go to compress the file it asks you which value you want to use. which value gives you the smallest size?

  • i think that 9 gives you the smallest size but it means that loading times are longer and graphic quality may be slightly reduced

  • DUDE your tutorials rock!!!!!!!!!!!! My hat go off to you.

  • Does your memory stick have to be a magic or can you have a regular memory stick and use ISOs?

  • a regular memory stick is fine but you do need to have a psp with the latest custom firmware

  • I have 3.90 M33-3 and I did exactly as you did but when I went to start the game, it says there was nothing there.

  • Okay, nevermind. I figured out what I did wrong. Thanks for the video!

  • Thanks for the great vid.

  • A great vid from you, as always.

  • do u know how to put eboot games onto this cfw?

  • if you mean homebrew eboots, then you just drag the eboot in its folder into the Game folder on the PSP.

  • ok thx

  • do u know how to put eboot games onto this cfw?

  • do u know how to put eboot games onto this cfw?

  • do u know how to put eboot games onto this cfw?

  • very helpful, thank you. one question however, does the number always say 9660? its a little weird cause idid this to three of my games already

  • i think the 9660 number is just a number that represents something to do with the iso file. i dont know what its for though.

  • Quick question. does it HAVE to be a .cso to be played from a memory stick, or is the .cso used just to compress the .iso file further (meaning both .cso and .iso will load from memory stick) ?

  • no, you can put the iso file onto the memory stick instead if you want to. a cso file is basically just a compressed iso.
