@monsterrockstar90 This is an all brass set from Overland that I found on ebay a couple years ago from a store called Red Canyon Trains. I have only seen Surfliner cars up there on a few occasions.
@welovetacos4 Sure, I can do another one! I do have one on here already from this POV under the name "Another Surfliner Roll-By, and a Friendly Engineer." The only difference is that the garage door was open so there is more light and some glare off the front of the cab car. But check it out and I'll try to do another one shortly. Thank you though for the response!
My brother got kinda tight on money right now so he didn't buy the sound decoder. I have the sounds still saved on my computer, they're just waiting for a decoder to be installed on. I'd almost rather just buy it, but I bought another brass train (which hopefully you'll all be seeing soon!!!) so I refuse to buy anything else for him in the way of trains. You know, that brotherly love!! LOL!!!
Oh no, I'm sorry. I thought you were talking about the Metrolink sounds. I tried to install the Amtrak F59PHI stuff a long time ago, and the horn was way too faint and it was very crackly. I talked with the guy that I bought the decoder from and he tried to help me but we couldn't figure out how to get it to sound any better. If you have another I can give it a shot. Thanks!
Thanks, and yeah. They were REAL expensive. They all have interior lights, but most have burned out because the DCC uses higher volts than the bulbs are rated for and I think because they spent several years without being used so the filaments were old.
Yeah, they're actually pretty easy to replace. I just haven't done it yet and will probably wait until I get some seated passengers to go into the seats before I open them up and start replacing bulbs.
Thanks man! Yeah, I'm going to see which bulbs are in there right now and then get the replacements and check with someone who could recommend which resistor I should get. Should be soon, I just got the passengers!!
Were do you get the surfliner cars?

I thought you might use them on your sound decoders. I've also got some replacements for what I originally sent you, so...
MarkConductor775 3 years ago
Yeah, I want to. But I have to get my brother to get a decoder and then install those sounds. He has a Metrolink engine for them to go into.

The one already in YOUR surfliner F59's? Besides, an F59 K5LA won't work in a Metrolink F59.

thats a good idea 2 birds with one stone

To keep them from burning out you need resistors, not sure which ones ya need tho, Keep up the excellent work
