My friend is driving one and I was pretty unimpressed with it. The engine is brilliant and the sound of the turbos is cool, but for a luxury crossover SUV breaking a $30k base, I was disappointed in lots of it. The stupid entertainment system is poorly designed, the ride quality is pretty stiff and kind of harsh, it is louder than you'd expect in a luxury car, and the dashboard is made of plastic. The seats were manual and they were unfomfortable. I just don't get this car.
I have an RDX and the thing rocks. There is nothing like SH-AWD. If you are looking to go cheap on gas, this is not your car. If you want to enjoy driving, this is a great choice. The problem with getting a MKX is that at the end of the day you're stuck with a Ford product.
The only reason that the Japanese assemble some of their vehicles in North America is due to lower tariffs on parts versus finished products, thus the economics and not out of a kind sentiment to provide jobs. Even the Wall Street JOurnal, BusinessWekk, and Economic publications agree that our economy and well being is more reliant upon the Big Three AMERICAN companies. You can get a Lincoln MKX w/ the incentives at the same price and it's nicer. Disgusting that you'd sell-out your own people.

You can support your own companies - Ford, GM, and Chrysler and do more for the American economy. Shameful!

How can you compare a Cx-7 to a rdx? Thats beyond me. I just priced the cx-7 with the same options as the rdx tech package and the only diff is 1,000 bucks. I currently own an RSX typeS and now the RDX. I would pick an Acura over a mazda ANY DAY. The only Suvs that can beat the RDX on a 0-60 is the FX45 and Cheayne(sp) Turbo.
The only minus points it gets is: gas mileage for premium gas and stiff ride(you wont hear me complain on a 25mph curve though)Very few CUVs or SUVs will even come close to touching it. But overall its quick, fun, and i love being pushed back into the seat every time i hit past 5,000rpm :)
Lucky $1,000 off. Its very rarein Calgary. I wanted a Black RDX with tech and they were sold out of everything they only had red without tech and someone already put it on hold soo boo hoo.
1k markup? got to be kidding me. the word is getting out that there are a number of first year bugs, poor gas mileage...if you live in Ohio, go to toledo, they have a ton on the lot, unsold. Deals will be acomin...ill be buying when they get to a few hundred over invoice...sooner than later i bet with all the other compact luxo suvs coming.
I have one and I am a bit disappointed in the gas mileage. As for as paying a premium, they got me on it being a Honda product. I do have a TL that I love by the way. If I had to do it all over, Toyota rav4 with all the goodies. Regular gas verses premium, and better MPG.
Been driving my Tech RDX for 10 months now and overall am very pleased. Gas mileage is disappointing but that's not the reason I bought the car. Have a short commute and want to have fun driving. Great sound, good stiff suspension with excellent cornering and all the tech gadgets I wanted. Love bluetooth with my cell and the turbo - some don't like the whine but it reminds me it's there, along with the kick in the seat.
