In Emperor you can make him retreat (it's not easy though). I heard a *rumor* it's possible to do the same in Dune2 and Dune2k, but I can't tell if that's true.

Really? What specifically was it? I found that the newer ones were more or less just Sci-Fi. They removed a lot of the mysticism, mystery, philosophy, and general unique taste that I've come to associate with Frank H's work. I love seeing new things, like the Butlerian Jihad, but much of it seems annoyingly contrived, or artificial.
