@dmiltz What really bothers me is the very careful language in the narrator's introduction - the pioneers were "bringing civilization and the roots of progress", the Indians react violently (who could imagine why? And of course, violence is their only reaction), and soldiers are sent in to "make peace". Proper Orwellian use of language going on there.
