  • there's a warm wind blowing the stars around - you can feel it

  • Always loved them as a teen:)

  • I used to think they were saying "I'm not talkin' 'bout the linen." Then again, I've always had problems hearing words in lyrics...but it could make a funny spoof, anyway.

  • too good

  • wow, it has been a long time since I heard this

  • when I grew up listening to Seals and Crofts I had no Idea that Jimmy Seals had a brother named Dan Seals they are both very handsome and sing and play accoustic guitar very beautifully if I do say so myself

  • If you love England Dan...you are sure to love Seals and Croft

  • I ain't talkin' bout the linens?

  • @wscott16 ....I think it's "I'm not talking about moving in".

  • 16year old... almost all music is good... keep listening

  • Such a beautiful song. R.I.P. Dan Seals.

  • I love this song too infact it's the first track on an England Dan and John Ford Coley album that I had recently bought which is the very first album that I have of their music now how cool is that I really hope to buy some more of their albums and hear some more great songs

  • One of my favorite songs from the 70s. For a previous poster, no it is not weird to be 16 and appreciating the song, Younger folks get to experience the entirety of popular music on the Internet, as opposed to being 7 in 77 and finding this a much better alternative to the Bee Gees one was relentlessly exposed to. I was sad to see this creative team become more self-referential and less creative, but the nu wave made it hard for artists like this to survive.

  • ah the good ol' days of living in phoenix, maryland, riding horses, and enjoying the good life

  • I sang this song to my girlfriend right before I pushed her overboard a rented yacht and told her I didn't think it was working and please don't call me and the shore is about a 20 minute swim back that-a-way but please don't make a lot of splashing noises I need to get some shuteye. Ahh good times and memories

  • @maha77 I love your story!!!!!!!

  • @maha77

  • I love this music

  • one of the greatest songs i have ever heard.. i grew up in this era and still love this music today"... its so much heart and soul,, something that stays with ya forever".. thanks for sharing it :)

  • Murder face. That is all.

  • @davethefed AHAAHAAHAHA

  • The melody is sublime, ahhhh

  • @BigRobArnold - I thought it was the linen, too, until after about 20 years of listening the song and someone told me otherwise. Ha ha!

  • For a while I thought the line was "I'm not talking 'bout Molina"...but now I know it's "...moving in"

    Amazing song!

  • am i the only 16 year old guy that listens to this kind of music?

  • @stroxell15 i'm 14 and i listen to this, but for specifically 16 year olds, yeah, you probably are.

  • @stroxell15 probably

  • @stroxell15 possibly!

  • @stroxell15 Be proud you have good taste with what's around today. There are a few gems but back then every hit was so golden. Times were simpler, people friendlier and the world a bit warmer.

  • @stroxell15 you are awesome to be 16 and like this music. im 36 and thes guys are the Stuff!

  • @eazywaspy i was raised on this by my amazing dad who has always been there for me i owe him for alot especially for introducing me to this amazing music

  • @stroxell15 Bro... 17 years old... love this stuff... in fact I write some like it... if you wanna listen to me look up Stars by Lucas Moeller... My band will start uploading stuff pretty soon too

  • @stroxell15 hell fucking no

  • Which one is the lead vocalist? Dan Seals or John Ford Coley?

  • Ladies & Gentlemen, Jon Voight on vocals.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhh so nice

  • Play this song for somebody under 20 and they'll laugh at how corny it is but I always kinda stop when I hear it and remember a girl and the Thousand Islands.

  • R.I.P. Dan Seals!

  • I remember I was 20 and driving from Rockville CT to Springfield MA with my sister, mother and stepfather, late at night.

We were driving by this darkened playground and this song came on. My boyfriend had left to join a cult (no lie) and hearing this song made me the loneliest person on earth.

Oh, how I wish I could go back to that moment.

  • Boy, did the memories come flooding back. When we were together we were good but it just wasn't meant to be.

  • and I'd really love to see you tonight...you know who you are...I miss us

  • ah life was so good

  • Just makes me sentimental .... that is a good thing .

  • Great song and performance!!! They nailed it live!!! Without backup singers to boot!!! Thanks for the video!!!!!

  • Great song that not only brings back memories but was from a time when the lyrics of a song actually meant something.

  • 22 people would really love to see this song end tonight...

  • :(

  • Say I love you then say goodbye ..... :(

  • so many memories.............. wish life was as easy & layed backed like it was back then

  • @mvalenz15 SURE WISH IT WAS...LOL

  • @mvalenz15 Me too

  • @mvalenz15 agree 5000 times.

  • @mvalenz15 i would give anything to have my life like it was back then!

  • @mvalenz15 OMG, so true! You took my thoughts and put them into words.

  • @mvalenz15

    Amen, amen, amen!

  • Still a good song in my book. They had a very distinctive sound. Didn't know the one guy died though, sorry to read that.

  • @donnydcyclops Who said one or the other of these people are married?

  • This song might be worth a hey slowed it down at least 1/2 way and better 1/3 way. It sounds like the 90s craze of 30 second dating some bars did back then. It sucks at this fast tempo.

  • RIP Dan Seals.

  • All these years I've been wondering .. is England Dan from England ? Just tell me, damn it !

  • @m41a1 He's from the States. Went on to do coutry music, but died from lymphoma two years ago.

  • awesome "70's porn stash...

  • Oh damn, I must have missed this song when I was young. This is great.

  • the laundry mat song im not talking about the linen.but he is really saying im not talking about moving in.this song fooled me and alot of other people for along time.

  • @SIGNALSTAT That's pretty funny.

  • The Long Kiss Good Night soundtrack!

  • Dan Seals, you are greatly missed! Best song ever!

  • Music doesn't have much emotion it in it anymore these days

  • England Dan looks like my father

  • Gods! This takes me back 3

  • Sigh ... enjoy the music! (A couple of you here either need to write to advice columnist or go to a therapist.)

  • mint tune

  • wow, such a good song!!

  • they dont make pop song like this anymore..... the last well crafted pop song i heard was from the corrs

  • Easy tune

  • Goosebumps @ :52

  • looks like a live video and sound pretty good....nice

  • England Dan is really handsome in this video

  • Somehow I have been enjoyed this song since I was a kid and still like it now..

  • Ya jack black and sonny bono

  • Sure beats the hell out of "BOP"

  • Is that Jack Black on the mic?

  • I thought it was "I'm not talking bout the linen!" for a long time...lol

  • @BigRobArnold me too

  • @BigRobArnold lmao 2 funny

  • @BigRobArnold

    it isn't?!?

  • @BigRobArnold Oh well. Another misunderstood line I heard from someone was "There's a warm wind blowin' the stars around." haha

  • @BigRobArnold I still think that's the line. I am lyrically challenged. What is it?

  • @jackjnston line is Im Not Talking Bout Moving In

  • @BigRobArnold haha - i thought he was saying 'im not talking about the limit" as in-- going all the way. i also thought 'herd it in a love song' was ' purdy lil love song" - lyrical confusing can be one of the great things about earth life.

  • @BigRobArnold

and I don't wanna change your line! lol

  • This shit really takes me back to childhood memories. 70s was a

Classic era for music as well as tv

  • I use to think it was meridian

  • This is one of the saddest songs in the history of the WORLD...

  • Then, at the end of the song, the girl says, "Sorry. I'm married now!"

  • @3bhui Married women are sometimes easier to score. That ring on the finger and marriage vows mean nothing in these times.

  • i know many married women whom I would love to make wild passionate love to. any tips on how i might seduce them? ;-)

  • @nakedBison69 Just tell them they look nice and your half way there.

  • you make it sound so easy

  • @nakedBison69 Don't let them read your stupid you tube comments for starters!

  • stupid kanga1234567 makes stupid youTube comments

  • @papalolita Wrong!!! I was faithful to both my husbands-my dear 1st hubby who passed away, and my horrid 2nd hubby who cheated on me all the time!

  • @Prayingbear777 I do not doubt your faithfulness, but I don't think you can use yourself as a counter-example to disprove certain trends. Trends such as more workplace flirting, the rise of social media, and sexless marriages. Married women do play around, I can bear witness to that. ;p

  • @papalolita That makes me sad if its true ... What has society come to ..

  • @papalolita Get a grip - they didn't mean that much back then either. Don't let nostalgia blind you. The same shit that goes on now, went on back then, even as far back as the Roman times. Don't you read history? No one has ever been faithful in the history of the humans.Grow up and face reality. Don't believe me? READ HISTORY! No one has ever been faithful. All women are whores, and all men are cheaters.

  • @broncobra Perhaps many people do cheat , but my wife was TOTALLY FAITHFUL to me right up til the time she passed away in '03 and my present girlfriend has ALSO been faithful to me . I TRUST her completely. I guess I am more blessed than I originally thought. Perhaps they might be a little low in the numbers but there REALLY are SOME women who WANT TO BE and actually ARE .... FAITHFUL. Sadly I was a serial cheater until THE LORD CHANGED ME ; NOW I WANT TO BE A FAITHFUL MAN!

  • @papalolita I was married didn't cheat ,he did to many times ..this ring on my finger tells me I'm married to God.. not every Irish long red curly haired nurse is gota let any man do that to me again -ps I have lots of so called guys asking me to date them or marry them but never again will I trust a person like him or you .I am beautiful tiny big boob dancer ...

  • @papalolita Married Men are pretty easy to score as a matter of fact too.

  • Seals was from Seals an Crofts in the after years.

  • @DesertDigger1

I believe that was Dan's older brother Jim in Seals and Crofts.

  • @DesertDigger1 Actually, James Seals (b.1941) was the Seals in Seals and Crofts. Dan Seals (1948-2009) was England Dan from England Dan and John Ford Coley. They were brothers.

  • im only 26 yrs old now, but i really love this song'.

  • They were somewhat big in The 70's, and then they disappeared; What happened? Are we going to have to issue an APB on both England Dan and John Ford Coley? Let me know.

  • @kja427 If I'm not mistaken England Dan is Dan Seals. He mad a move to country and had several big hits. I'm sure you can search him on youtube. They were a big duo in the 70's for sure. I have no idea what happened between them.

  • I thought it was 'I'm not talking about the linen'...didn't know what sheets had to do with anything!?!?

  • I am not gay

  • I know what you mean about the lyrics of this song. For years I thought it said "malivien. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who got that wrong

  • There was the one way around you will be hearing the music and pitching the lyrics while catching around the rhymn of the song until the crossover will get finish with the beauty of the song...It was among the many songs of the England Dan in the world which i liked since i was a kid...[See the Facebook Account ]

  • love this song. back then singing live sounded so good. thumbs up all the way guys.

  • I always thought they were singing "I am not talking about oblivion". Loll. Beautiful beautiful song

  • the Seventies will never die . so many great bands & artist . a classic time to be alive . just glad i survived it . can anybody say smoke filled basement all luded out ..no regrets!

  • magical,.,.70's rocked

  • que maravilla esuchar cantando a los dos ,las leyendas de todos los tiempos....

  • I always thought it was " I`m not talkin bout the linen" !!! LOL I thought that until just now watching it for the first time and I`m 45 years old!

  • @herezjohnny

Same here... and I'm 45 too!

  • @herezjohnny I had big smile when I read this from you. I like this song and I made mistake listening to "If there a warm wind blowing, the stars are out" I thought it was "If there's a one will blowing and starts around" what's wrong with my ears. I have been listening to this song since I was 13 and now I am 28. Thanks herezjohhny. You made me smile today:)

  • @herezjohnny ditto!!! :P "movin in!!!"

  • i had this on a 45 record! lol

  • I must have sold over 20+ copies of England Dan & John Ford Coley's greatest hits to various friends over the years... all it took was playing them this and one or two other songs from it and they were sold. Great band, great music.... sorely missed in our day and age.

  • ahhh, the 70s music! Thank God I was old enough to appreciate it in my youth.

  • Great music unlike the crap rap out today.

  • Heard this playin in a local supermarket a few months ago, now i cant get it out of my head! love it

  • omg i always thought it was bolivia lol how bout u?

    thanks for clearing it up.

  • It'd be funny if Stevie Wonder covered this.

  • Great Video. Just watched John Ford Coley LIVE in concert tonight in Singapore .... he is a very obliging man and gave us our money's worth. Thanks John!

  • Is it me, or does this seem like the speed version of this song?

  • @BranfordRiverTackle yes,it seems much faster than i remember!

  • CLASSIC SONG FOR LOVERS IN LOVE OR WHAT THAT TYPE OF LOVE

  • Good song. "I'd (iin) really (my) love to (bed) see you tonight"

  • I would really love to see you tonight. I miss you.

  • Maybe one of the greatest "booty call" songs of all time!

  • 'I'm not talking about moving in those' words tricked me for years, no, decades. Thumbs up if you know what I mean

  • @pinkandjefflynne Yep. Hardest line in the whole bleedin' song to "hear" on radio!! And now that we know it, ain't it weird... you can't hear it as anything else!?!?!

  • @Countrygent100 haha - we didn't have anyway to look up lyrics then. Today you can get on computer and know all the lyrics. In our day, we just went with what it sounded like no matter how ridiculous it sounded! You're right, once you get it in your head with certain words - you can't sing it any other way. I always thought they were saying "I'm not talkin bout believin"

  • @pinkandjefflynne

Yep, I always would wonder why anyone would be talking about Bolivia in the first place.

  • @pinkandjefflynne DAMB you are right! That fucks me up! Sorry for the language.

  • Comment removed

  • @pinkandjefflynne

I used to think the lyrics were: "I'm not talking about the linen"...!!!

  • @pinkandjefflynne I'm not talkin' bout millenium. LOL Yeah I know what you mean.

    RIP England Dan Seals.

  • @pinkandjefflynne now we're old we finally can sing the right words lol xx
