At least for a while they were mistaking the lighthouse for the supposed UFO. You can run film of the lighthouse alongside the Holt tape and it matches perfectly when they are saying its on, its off, etc. Im going to get shot for saying it but I think the UFO is a cover story for Project Cobra Mist which was being tested closeby.

the thing i dont understand is, whats is wrong in the goverment saying... ok we dont know what it was, its a UFO? why all the cover ups? they are obviously hiding something from the public.

@JohnAdey123 The government cover up incidents when a member of the public see anything ufo-alien wise notice how they always have a logical explanation,Even for this one as an example they said that these guys mistaken it for a lighthouse! what a laugh! I have to totally agree with you about them obviously hiding stuff from the public.However the government didn't think this time the witness's were all soldiers,lieutenants,deputy's & Servicemen from the RAF. Reading Leslie Kean's book UFO's, right now. Why is the US the only country that is not taking this subject seriously? Even bringing the subject up with most people deems one a crackpot. Some very good research has been done by the likes of Hynek, Mack and others. It's time for disclosure.

What no one is saying is that there was a sheild on the back of the lighthouse the side that was facing back towards col. halt and his men, so how were they seeing the light from the light house you dont hear the skeptics bringing up this point.

I lived in norfolk as a child and distinctly remember very strange happenings around the time of this incident. The power grid went nuts, lights in our house and all others pulsed up and down, if your tv was on when this happend, it got fried, nobody could offer an explanation, the tv repair man was inundated with the work load, it coverd an area of mostly south norfolk to norwich. There was a definate"presence" in the air the night this happend, strange times indeed.

How in the world can anyone think these guys were mistaking a lighthouse for a ufo? Lighthouses don't beam down blue beams from little crescent moon shaped objects flying around the nighttime sky.. This tape is AWESOME. Great vid!!!

and returned to it's lighthouse base.

@researchityourself Often, skeotics label UFO stories as far-fetched, but listening to some of their responses, especially to incidents like this one, they skeptics sound completely umrealistic. Given the nature of the incident and the men - all of them military professionals - how likely is it that they would have mistaken a craft or moving object as a lighthouse? God help our country if our soldiers and airmen can't distinguish between UFOs and lighthouses.
