Looooong ago. I discovered this by mere accident, I didn't called campbell. I had to controllers connected to the console and one of then disconnected, so i grabbed the other one in a hope he didn't killed me. And guess what, it worked.

When I played this game on the Gamecube I defeated him the hard way, then later a friend told me that the simple way to kill him was to easily place the control into the second port and then...I went to a fuuuuuuuuu rage.

@ymiwatchen In order to defeat Psycho Mantis, you need to switch your controller cable from port 1 to port 2, so he can't control you. The game momentarily stops when you unplug your controller,so there's your answer.

I love MGS and I love Psycho Mantis, but this video was a waste of time. Guy obviously had no idea what he was doing, and was playing on an emulator instead of a legit copy of the game. Probably used a hack to get to Psycho Mantis, because it was like he never played it before in his life.

My cousin was playing this and he had no idea how to beat psycho mantis.

Through the vageness of the Colonel and implimenting my own young creative perceptions, I though maybe you had to switch the controllers.
