if it came with the sustainiac - this is the DK2-S isn't it?

does it still use the battery when you turn the sustainer off? and play the guitar as if it? was a regular pickup ?

hey can this guitar be used for like gigs? because i used an epiphone standard for a gig and it wasnt good my pickups could not withstand the gain of the amp and the feedback sound keep appearing.

il est en effet possible d'acheter le micro à part. Il existe plusieurs modèles (simple, double,...).

Celui de la jackson est un sustainiac (excellent, voire parfait), celui de la jem sur mes autres vidéos est un fernandes sustainer (tout aussi bon mais moins réactif à mon goût). Je posterai bientôt une autre vidéo pour montrer mon sustainer jem.

Pour la pose, je te conseille vivement le recours à un luthier. Voiloù. N'hésites pas si tu veux en savoir plus.

Hi everybody, in fact what you ear is the bridge pick up. Cause when you put the sustainer, you switch automaticaly to the bridge pick up.

And to answer youngViking90, the neck pick up has not a very good tone since it is not a true pick up, it is a magnet but you can use it as a pick up.

Hi rolilae the lead guitarist of def leppard plays jacksons and on some tracks he makes that kind of laser sound and this can be heard on "rock on" do u think he has a Dk2s because i have a cover band that plays def leppard and i need that sustain should I get it is it worth it?

Phil Collen plays a jackson but not a DK2S, in fact he has his own model : the PC-1 which has a sustainer like the DK2S (but the guitar is more expensive).

However, the DK2S is great as you can hear on the video.

can somebody explain what the hell is a sustainer? is it a different kinda pickup or what? How should I know if the guitar has it? I'm gonna buy a jackson DK2 Dinky, and I wanna make sure. Before seeing this video I thought you can only make this kinda sound by getting close to your amp and receiving amp's feedback. Thank you very much people

Hi mammadak,

in fact, there are four kind of feedbacks : the closeness between a guitar and its amp; an effect pedal; an external kit of pickup (Fsk 101,401 or sustainiac) that you adapt to a guitar; and an internal pickup (the sames) which is already included into the guitar. For example, the jackson DK2 (that you want to buy) does not have a sustainer but the jackson DK2S (S like sustainer) has it, like mine.

of course you can later install a sustainer, the fsk 101 is perfect, the fsk 401 too (but it has a controller for the sustain intensity but it's not necessary). The seymour pickups are incredible (rhythm and lead), go ahead guy!!! If u want send me the information about your futur guitar before to buy.

it will be difficult for me to answer since i think the body of the DKMG is slim, perhaps too much for the sustainer electronic.

For example, i tried to install a FSK 101 onto a Parker fly and it was impossible.

Before to buy, ask a professionnal, but why not...
