Monticello is a nice 1/2 mile track. The gate only affected number 8, who should have been declared a "non starter". The car driver got lucky and this could have been a real disaster.
@bigtimcny There was no "8" in the race. The 7 was the horse affected by the gate and he won the race at 37-1, so I think his connections and those who bet him would have been pissed if he was declared a nonstarter.
Nooo. . . . because the applicable officials didn't take any action before the start of the race the announcer smartly didn't mention it. You're clearly an ignorant, simple minded fuckstick.

Pretty amazing. I mean 37/1 shot from the outside you don't expect much especially going around the gate and wide into the 1st turn like that yet goes on to wire em. Maybe just liked the going though.
