When I was a kid I saw Return of the Jedi and even though I loved it, a big part of me said to myself "How can movies possibly get any better than the original trilogy?" and then for many years afterwards I never got all that excited about movies that much again...
You know, seeing this trailer made me realize something: If the original trilogy was remade, the only thing that could be improved on is the trailers.
When I watch the original trilogy, I marvel at how gorgeous it looks to this day. The way they made it with miniatures and dolls, it's very impressive.
And Willpu, I dare you to tell me the plot of the prequels. Revenge of the Sith had a good plot, but the others didn't have one at all.

i cant stand the fact that every time i finish watching revenge of the sith and i want to watch a new hope it looks like shit compared to the previous movie!!!!

paper thin plot? the new trilogy has a way better plot than the old ones, the acting was a bit off but that's not the point, plus whats wrong with CGI???
Paper thin was not the probem with the new ones IMO, rather they were hackneyed and cliche'd. Obligitary 'romance' and danger were injected. Part of what made the originals so great was how the details were so 'shabby' and therefore real. The Patina generated by reality can never be replicated through CGI.

This is a TEST trailer for the 1985 re-release of the film. Its not the actual narrator they chose in the end, the proper trailer is a bonus feature on the star wars trilogy dvd.

The original title was Revenge of the Jedi but they changed it because jedi aren't supposed to take vengence and other reasons aswell
