V for Vendetta was a series of comic book created by Alan Moore and then the Wachowski brothers just copied it in to a film.

@BoyMunkey08 That doesn't make much sense. Yes, the comic book WAS created by Alan Moore, but the fulm was created by the Wachowski brothers. Alan Moore may have been involved with it or written it, but the Wachowski brothers are the ones who actually made it.

@ToddsTKD The film was just a copy of the comic plus the Wachowski brothers had to pay for the rights to make a film based heavily on the comic. plus if Alan More never invented V for Vendetta there would of never been a film to watch!

Its like if Englishman Charles Babbage had not created the worlds first computer in the 18th century,nobody would of created the internet to use on computers. lol

V for Vendetta is very much Alan Moores,he created it,its EASY to copy it.

It was made by Americans who didn't understand British culture, for one thing. Apparently it strayed from the comic's story (I haven't read it) and it's not the kind of thing that should be made into a movie. He also is opposed to the Watchmen movie, and so am I. I'm boycotting it.

Actually, I have read Watchmen a few times, and i'd like to know what you mean, by it being unable to be filmed? What, in the comic, cannot be translated into film? Apart from the sheer amount of detail (multiple films to counter this), which bits could not be translated?

please explain more. With voice-overs, and deft editing sequences, there shouldn't be a problem. This is because its primarily a graphics based tale. I can see your point about hard to film sequences from a Novel, but Moore has overcome this in his original format

V for Vendetta is such an awesome movie! Too bad it's not as well known as it should be, half the people I talk to go 'what?' when I ask if they've seen it...it's a pitty >< but I especially like Hugo as V <3 he did such a good job on making V's character come to life just by using his voice

I absolutely love the movie as well. And yes, Hugo did an amazing job. I never knew you could make such an impression with a mask on. Maybe it was the cape as well, I dunno, I'm speaking from a cape-fetish point of view here.
