Top Secret: Hitler's Ressurection was the Japanese title of the original NES version, as it was a spin-off of the Arcarde Bionic Commando, called Top Secret in Japan. When they made Rearmed, the Japanese title was changed to Bionic Commando: Master D Something-or-other.

They originally used the Nes skin for the ps3 game. But try it out yourself, unlock the skin with Rearmed and see if it fits in that world.

I for one can say it doesn't. That could be why they changed it.

This brought tears to my eyes suddenly ;_; .. ^_^ I loved Bionic Commando for many years. I have played the NES, Arcade, Gameboy versions. Ichirou Mizuki and Tanaka Kouhei has done an outstanding job in making this opening with a 'Bionic Commando' flair to it, resembling alot to the older soundtracks. You could almost see Rad Spencer running into battle in this type of song *Wipes tears* =) Sorry. I am just a huge fan ^^;

Dude, I wish this had a full version... Ichiro Mizuki is a legend when it comes to songs full of win and awesome.

Also... This is interesting. The original NES port of this game was called Top Secret and included Nazi references that were removed in the US port. It seems that now, the US port has become the canonical one.

Funny thing, though, that the scene of Master D's head exploding is shown only in the US version of this title. <.<

Actually Super Joe was not in Mercs. Mercs was the sequel to Commando but another military faction was in that game other than the one that Super Joe was in. Super Joe had only appeared in Speed Rumbler and Commando, finally, Bionic Commando.
