June 29, 2008: Saskatchewan 34 Edmonton 13. I must say, here in the U.S., when watching CBC and TSN's coverage on America One Network, I like CBC's much better. The CFL is pretty cool. Of course, once the NFL and college football come back they become the priority but Canadian football is excellent in its own way.

I'm astounded CBC gave up on the game across Canada except for the local station. Fortunately I was able to see the entire game because I have satellite TV, watched it on the CBC Calgary channel.

I know! I think this is such a great move. Armstead was struggling, and hardly producing anything.... especially on the punt return..... and holmes is great at that (at least as well as I can remember... hamilton seemed to prefer letting holmes sit on the bench. Sask fans love holmes. I'm very excited.

could a CFL game end prematurely like in the NFL (I actually know of an NFL game that ended early, but not a CFL game.)? Or do they have to delay the game?

Jim Hopson (the Riders' President) said they were very close to calling the game. They decided it would be inconvenient for the players if they postponed the game, fortunately it cleared up soon enough to finish it at a decent time.
