La Bayadère: another new (but short) trailer

it would be nice if companies would quit staging Makarova's cookie-cutter "Bayadere". There are quite a few companies that have this exact same production - costumes, sets & all - in thier repertories.

Well, I think this is one the best Bayadere productions....

Yes it is a handsome production, but it omits far to much, & Makarova's chor. for Act III is pretty bad (though I do like her work on the waltz of the 3rd tableau) . The fact that Petipa's name is even included in the credits is ridiculous - only the Shades scene retains any of his work, & even that has changes.
