Please if you havnt already joined the drill here drill now please do, and Please write your senators on to stop the gang of 10 bill from becoming law this isnt good for US just a compromise to the democrats , All Republicans should keep being vocal on this !
I am all for trying to find alternative ways to produce energy. But until we do, oil is all we have. Since congress is in gridlock, let's find out what the people think. We are all affected and while congress can't agree, we are all suffering from it. So, let us vote on it; then congress will know what THE PEOPLE want our elected officials to do for US. Might as well do something, since it is obvious it will be quite awhile before Congress can decide. Just a though.
Dear Sirs; I guess I was under the mistaken idea that an executive order in timeof emergency superseeded all congressional votes unless struck down by the courts
Why are you such a fan of Reagon while during his time as president the debt skyrocketed and his CIA killed Panamanian Leader Omar Torrijos and Ecuadorian leader Aguilera to name a few? And "Real Change" changed my life.
Dear Newt, What's the deal about our Military out of country not getting ballots in time to vote in the November election? Can you do anything to help? I greatly appreciate all you do for our country.
Dear Newt, What's the deal about our military not getting ballots in time to vote in November? Can you do anything? I very much appreciate your efforts for our USA!
I have not heard one politician or commentator rebut the Left's "we can't drill our way out of this..." by pointing out that fuels make up only about 1/2 of what is refined from each barrel of oil. Will you "remind" Americans that petroleum products (plastics, synthetics, fertilizers, etc) other than fuels are here to stay, ethanol, wind and nuclear energy cannot replace them and we NEED them for our industries and our way of life? It might put drilling here & now in perspective!
Why did you retire at the height of your fame? Is what you said to Brian Lamb true: once the Republicans controlled Congress and finished the Contract with America, that you weren't sure what you should be doing?
I'd ask the Speaker if he feels there is much of a difference between Obama and McCain, as both seem to have been in agreement on so much until the campaign got them both changing positions to keep up with the political winds.
Newt Mr Speaker Why can George Bush not sign 2 exective orders while in office ? One to get congress off vacation and the other authorizing the exploration and drilling off shore , shale ,and of course Alaska ?? Sincerely, Evan Sigmund
1) Bush has already lifted the executive ban on offshore oil drilling, and 2) Congress has to pass legislation to lift its congressional drilling bans before American companies drill.
Newt, What were you thinking when you made that commercial with Pelosi? Did you not have any idea what the reaction would be from conservatives? Do you now know how much damage you did to your credibility?
I believe that the Democrats are the American Socialist Party; the Republicans are "Socialist Lite". Ron Paul called to "restore the Republic"; I agree. It is not likely that either party is likely to answer that call. Our bloated govt. will continue towards "progressive" goals: bad immigration that dilutes national identity with "Dearbornistans", SCOTUS and courts legislating, The FED printing inflationary script. Don't we need a new party that stands for the constitution?
Newt, if all your poll data that shows a huge majority of the American population, across party lines, supports your American Solutions platform, why on earth didn't you take that data and run on it for President. With those kinds of majorities, you would have been a shoo-in. Isn't asking other candidates to embrace and incorporate your platform into theirs (when you won't) somewhat hypocritical?
Of all the wonderful things I wish for our country, the number one thing I wish is that you will be our President. Will this every be a possibility? I am keeping hope alive.
Newt! I am a long time admirer...saw you last at LU. I cannot understand why you and Condoleezza Rice did not run together and win out over all the far less qualified yoyos that have run so far. I know your superior qualifications and she is the new kid (even though she is my age) that has guts, good looks, brains, and happens to be one of color for those that only vote in such a way (as with a great number of Obama supporters). What's up with that? Can't you still run (the others out of town)?
Fred? Please! He did not act like he wanted to win & was way nonchalant, acting clueless most of the time...he did not hold a candle to Newt's potential...couldn't anyone see that and correct it before this current vacuum of talent and conservative prowess is the only choice for us? Fred? Nice guy, but he did not seem like he was even trying right from the jumpstreet and even implied that he did not want to win...this is the presidency we are taking about, not the HS Mr/Ms Congeniality contest!
You obviously didn't listen to Fred and what his governing principles were, and what his conservative plans were. He, Newt, and Reagan are all cut from the same cloth. Also, I NEVER said that Newt wouldn't make a great President. I wanted Newt to run, but when Fred got in and it was apparent that Newt wasn't running, Fred was the best candidate that was running.
YOU obviously didn't understand what I wrote! I NEVER said Fred wouldn't have made a great President based on his principles/values.I suppose Bob Dole would have made a much better President than who he ran against, but we have sh'heads in this country that vote for color, good looks, cheesy acts, Sax players, & empty promises.Fred might have been in Newt/Reagan circles but minus the looks, energy, finesse, charisma, and sanguine persona.I have seen Newt in action when he really wants something
At least we agree that Fred had the right leadership and governing principles to be President. And I don't like Bob Dole, and I don't think he was have made a very good President (too moderate). I liked Fred's down to earth southern looks, energy, finesse, charisma, and sanguine persona. EVERY political pundit that said Fred didn't have the energy is dead wrong. Did Fred portray that energy the way they wanted him to? No, he was himself, and I'm glad he was himself and not someone else.
I am fine with Fred being himself & I didn't like Bob Dole either. That wasn't the point. The point in context was clearly that Bob was better than his opponent in every way, yet did not win.Fred is better than Osama Obama & McCain put together,BUT Fred did not even make it out of the starting blocks! This is the huge problem here!Hello!I know Newt would be leaving Obama in his smoke by now,but all we have is smoke and mirrors from two losers! And the biggest loser is the USA over the next 4 yrs
And my point was that because Fred had the same governing principles and the same type of policies and program as Newt does, so Newt didn't have to get in. About getting out of the starting blocks, all Conservatives had to do was get behind the true conservative (Fred) and that would have helped him get out of the starting blocks.
Your point has been understood & repeated ad nauseam. Understand mine so we can at least get on the same page. I've been in 100% commission sales in the past & I was very good. For some, it would not matter if they had the best product at the best price, they still could not sell anything & they would fail==> because you must sell yourself 1st! Fred could not get the true conservatives behind him because he lacked the qualities I mentioned 2 emails ago that were real obvious in Newt/Reagan, duh!
I get your point. I just strongly believe that we a elected a leader not a campaigner, and if the man would be a great leader with great governing principles and great policies, then that should be how we choose our President. But I do get your point.
thank you, unfortunately our country has been commercialized, materialized, minimized(into apathy & political correctness & egocentrism), & dumbed down to the point that most will elect anyone that says what they want to hear w/o any evidence that the person would ever fulfill promises made. From that we've gotten an over abundance of do nothing politicians that care only about themselves & nothing about the good of this country & have no skills if & when they do care to do something significant
For Newt Gingrich: Would it be legal/possible/feasible to start a campaign (similar to drill here/drill now) to pose a ballot question, during a presidential election year, in all 50 states to impose term limits on Congress?
How do we communicate the information written in Dick Morris's book "Fleeced" to the general population? It seems to be so critical and very telling as to the bad impacts on our finances and system as a nation. Thanks SparklestheClown
Should Conservatives continue to trust the Republican Party and try to reform it, or should Conservatives start their own "Conservative Party" based on the the First Principles of Liberty (Fred Thompson ran on those principles, and The Heritage Foundation publishes research papers based on those principles)?
Given Mr. Gingrich's role in circulating the 1990 GOP memo titled "Language: A Key Mechanism of Control" that instructed Republicans to use positive, optimistic words to describe themselves and to use negative, "contrasting" words to demonize their opponents, does Mr. Gingrich now regret encouraging that kind of partisan name-calling as he looks back at the resulting degradation of our politics over the last 20 years?
Newt never seems to response to ANY of the comments on his videos--unless he gets an invite to sit down in person in San Bruno. Perhaps that's because he doesn't know how to use a computer? Maybe Steve can give him a lesson while he's there.
Yeah I got a question, why did he divorce his wife while she was dieing in hospital and yet claims to value 'conservative family values'? How does this not make Newt a hypocrite?
