im not sure how to say this but im new to the idea of living with god. i want to live up to his expectations but i hide from him because i cannot. i dont think any man could. im talking about the rules( im not sure what they are called) such as "Thy shal not steal" or "Thy shal not look in lust". Could anyone explain to me what to do
Try becoming ambidexterous . . . meaning become deft with both your hands. You will have more respect for you body and regard it as a temple rather than just flesh and bones.
Than read the Bible. Start with the Gospels. Than read the rest of the New Testament. Than read the Old Testament.
Be patient and don't rush things. Patience is a very pleasing attribute that God loves to see. Love is the greatest of all attributes but first comes patience and forgiveness.
@razorwing332 God does not expect anything that He does not also enable. When the Israelites were sent fight the Canaanites, God did not expect them to win on their own, but He often used their weakness to show His own power. It is the same way in our personal battles against sin and temptation. You have to also remember that God is infinitely forgiving and loving, and that even if you screw up, He will accept you back. Just keep turning back to Him, and keep praying. He will give you strength.
Thanks Perfection for the heads up on the website! It works again now, and looks better than ever! Unfortunately I had to start from scratch so the content is kind of sparse at the moment. :)
Today our (church) teaching was on hiding from God. We all still do it, at times. But the Good News is that He loves us just the way we are!{Romans 5:8} "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."{John 3:16} "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." {Romans 10:4}:"As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.
man I got to say 2 things you are good and thanks for giving me some ideas.. for months I was trying to think how to design heaven in maya and your animation gave me some hints.. Thanks Alot bro.
Hey, thanks man. I'll give you a rough idea of how I did the sunlight here. I used the new mental ray Sky shader in Maya 8.5, and then created a large cube. I assigned the partiVolume mental ray shader to this cube, and deleted the surface shader. I changed step lengths to min: 0.08, max: 0.8.
Thanks, RET. I rendered this on a custom-built PC with 2 dual-core AMD Opteron 280s (2.4GHz per core) and 2GB of RAM. I set mental ray to use 3 of those cores. To render a single 640x480 frame, it took anywhere from 1.5 -- 2 hrs; to render all 300 frames in the original animation, my computer was busy rendering on and off for about 3 weeks. Ha. That's why it's so short.
All and all though, I'd say an hour and a half is not bad for a scene with 580,000 polygons and raytraced volumetric shadows.

Another thing to save time rendering you could composite some of your objects into the scene. Saves a bundle of time.

Very nice work! I have a few questions though. What are the specs of your PC and how long did it take to render this in mental ray?
