i love Tyrone Wells, but its funny how he doesnt know that chord haha! its a D/B, but he mutes the E string but leaves the 1st string open. So hes playing a F#/D# essentially since hes playing in the key of B and he capoed the fourth fret.
@Mellonroom The meter is common time, so its 4/4. Strumming can get complicated talking about it, the best thing is to strum while singing because it guides you. listen to the recording alot and try strumming it out. But the best i can describe it is you strum by hiting the one two three and a four. emphasis on the twos and the fours. i hope this helps. it takes time. just keep listening to the song a lot and sing it out and try it, thats how beginners like me did it when i started out.
actually it's more of a variant of Em9. he's not playing the D string on the second fret but open. it would be a true Em9 if he left his pinky on the 1st e string on the 3rd fret. - Which is how i play it as it's less movement of the hand. Cheers-
