The truth is that there is no racism toward blacks anymore.
If there was, there would be no rap/hip-hop...no Tiger Woods...no Venus & Serena Williams...no professional football and basketball teams that are 90% black.
Well gas is going back up and we just added at least $1 trillion in debt. Obama has a shitty policy by the way. His first three months, hes given Iran the right to nuclear arms pretty much, NK is flexing its nuclear weapons and we arent doing a damn thing because they know Democrats are vaginas, He gave the queen an Ipod, He gave car companys billions of dollars and yet they still failed, and we are still in Iraq. AMAZING POLICY. Oh and this was only in 3 months.
I've no idea whether government bail-outs are good or not, because I suck at economics. I was thinking about foreign policy. I think Obama can defuse the Iran and North Korea situations much better than Bush could, since the US is not invading them anyway. And with Obama, you'll at least get out of Iraq within the foreseeable future, so you can deal with the whole Afghanistan/Pakistan mess properly, which was not the case with Bush.
You don't need to know anything about economics to see that bailouts cause damage.
You would never give money to someone who were hopelessly in debt 'cause they would just spend that money too. For the same reason you would never give money to a company that can't survive in its own. They surely are doing something wrong and by bailing them out you just reinforce the bad behavior.
"And in order for them to be rich, we must be the ones exploited and poor"
Nope, I see it as the biological need for humans to procreate when emotions and hormones rule over logic. When you're poor, but still better off working as a toothless garbageman, you'll still find some emotional reason to procreate when in all logical sense it makes no reason to do so. Your kid will in all probability, not be better off than you are although most likely you think he'll be the next tycoon or genius.
We can judge situations but no man has the right or perspective to judge another. How miserable has racism and injustice made the lives of so many? How undefeated is hope, when the tiniest sliver of light gives one pause to rejoice? How unconquerable is the spirit of man? How many people live lives of quiet desperation? Always about us, never about me.
the only way the elite based system changes is when "we" the people have enough power (individually) to stop them. i mean when technology renders the state obsolete by giving the individual the means to physically overthrow those in charge. sry if this makes little sense, but I've just finished reading "island" by aldous huxley and it's left me wondering if we'll ever be free from centralised power.
The civilizing effect of antiracist movements seems undeniable but the "overwhelming support" that got him elected (& not say Cynthia McKinney) came primarily from capital-intensive internationally oriented business that thought it worth it to invest enough capital to attract more voters. Read Thomas Ferguson's Golden Rule: The Investment Theory of Party Competition & the Logic of Money-Driven Political Systems or watch this video I did last year explaining some aspects of it vimeoDOTcom/2611866
Hitler won his election with even more "overwhelming support" from a similarly ignorant society. Too bad I wasn't there to celebrate. The fact that Obama's black should NEVER have mattered in the first place. It is only the illusion of an achievement because humans have had their heads up their asses for so long. He's just the perfect puppet for the times. His masters celebrate with you.
I think it's just because Obama is a very charismatic man who's good at inspiring people (Not that those attributes would necessarily make him a good president, as he'd need actions to back it up). He used that to create I think a kind of cult of personality which enabled him to win the election. That's probably why people are so excited about him being sworn in, if that's even the reason why the garbageman was so happy. For all we know, he could have been happy for something else entirely.
All I keep thinking about is "what is going to happpen????" People aren't going to buy into obama's shit forever. I feel something bigger is bound to happen. It's just not going to work.
white leaders, even as far as seeing themselves "in power". Likewise, many African Americans view themselves in a "new" semi-hegemonic position due to obama's presidency.
As the MSM talking heads spoke of this "profound shift" in direction, I was reminded of Chomsky:
"The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum - even encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate."
It is obvious Obama was the lesser of the two evils, when compared to the ladder faction of the corporate mouthpiece....but people should NOT become disillusioned to believe anything serious will change.
Until the working class is liberated, until the chains of wage-slavery, inequality, and poverty are broken in the major capitalist/imperialist powers, and world wide...We will see little progression of the proletarian.
Excellent video...your point is well made Comrade.
There is a disturbing cult of personality around this Obama, who because of his race, and rhetoric, has confused millions of people to believe he is "different". Obama has not only embraced many if not all of the Zionist, and imperialist mindsets of past U.S administrations, he has also voiced to delay on his original plans for progressive wealth distrubtion(Which gained him much support).
To clarify that last point, maybe having Obama in the white house will be a tipping point for public progress in some capacity. Sure, the struggle will always only be in the face of elite opposition, but regardless of Obama's policies, maybe just having him there will be enough to promote activism in ways not likely otherwise. And worst case scenario, people will be content just because he's the president, and they won't actually fight back themselves feeling victorious. Coin flip at this point.
Obama winning was clearly the better of the two outcomes, so it's no surprise that the poor and working class are feeling victory today. Business party or not, this is as good as it's going to get right now. Now it's the job of the public to hold Obama's feet to the fire and not be placated in the rhetoric of change and all that. It needs to really happen, and that is, of course, where you and I come in. Maybe a win for the Obama faction of the business party will strengthen popular activism?
my utmost respect for your wise analysis. Really desperate. But I would call us illiterate and uninformed or lobotomysized by the System. Obama is only a victory for Corporate America and the capitalist system.
still proud of obama?

Honestly, you can't expect a lot of original thought from the guy you described.
What really scares me is that many highly educated people are reacting in the exact same way.

After 233 years as a nation, a black man was finally elected (with overwhelming support) into the White House. That's reason to celebrate.

Democracy with a leader is a contradiction
Obama symbolizes dark times are here and dark times are ahead
The state is simply a class armed, viciously controlling with police force the slaves that cry for their new master
In order to enslave people they must be free first
And in order for them to be rich, we must be the ones exploited and poor

Just like white oligarchs (and many whites
in general) identified themselves with
white leaders, even as far as seeing themselves "in power". Likewise, many African Americans view themselves in a "new" semi-hegemonic position due to obama's presidency.
The poor garbage man feels something like that.
He feels false historical vindication.
Due to this, many african-americans will
be hard to radicalize now.
