You dive in head first! Everyone has to start somewhere. Just because one agent has been in the business twice as long or does 3 times as much business as another doesnt mean they are better or serve their clients better. Most people dont ask how many homes you have sold or how long have you been in the business. Plus, every single real estate transaction is different. I learn something new all the time and will continue to. I say-go for it with confidence and you will be great!
I am considering becoming a realtor ...however, I am discouraged because all you ever hear is people only hire those who have a great deal of experience.. How do you get business if no one is willing to give new real estate agents a chance? Do you start selling for friends and family first?
@markos077 Start with a realty company that is willing to hire new staff (they're everywhere) Your pay will be low but hey, its a step in the door. I'm the same. i want to be a realtor. I've actually recently gone to interview to become a Realtor with newly built designed homes. In the display centre. Seems so interesting. So yea try that out. All the best and good luck.
