BTW I was appaled when I discovered 6years ago with my UltimateEdition of Legend that the Theatrical version we all know and love is not the original movie. The original soundtrack is just horrible...Disney-ish you could call it =/ But its good to watch to see some of the parts that were cut short in the theatrical version.

I had never heard this before, and I thought I've heard all of Legend's soundtrack. I like this...its a mixture of Loved By The Sun, Unicorn theme, and Jack and Lily's. I've loved this movie since I was a child. My Father used to have Legend's music on a fricken record album! The cover was a large picture of Darkness's face =) Unfortunately it was lost during a move...

I also would get the soundtrack of 'The Last Unicorn' if I were you. It was made in Germany. The music is exactly like in the movie. The same makers of The Hobbit did the movie and it is an anime but very good for its time. This is where I believe the movie 'Legend' and 'The Last Unicorn' go hand-in-hand.

And for everyone's information, there ARE unicorns for real but they look nothing like horses. They are small brown deer-like creatures with a small backward-curving horn. They found some recessive trait in these deer or whatever they are and bred them for that trait and now they produced more and more of them. They're not that extravagant as I would have thought, but so there are unicorns which is neat.

I am currently looking for a cd, record, or cassette tape with the entire score/music for The Neverending Story but am having the darnest time coming up with good results. "The Ivory Tower" and 'Swamp of Sadness" is the hardest score to obtain b/c they may have only done a short piece for the movie, but I have faith they have some track lying around w/the entire score on it in case they had decided to use it all in the movie. Firestarter was expensive as well.

It also includes an enchanting slow rock beat of 'Loved by the Sun' in what sounds like it's being reversed. They also do their own change up of the song of 'The Unicorn Theme' by adding lyrics to it. You won't be disappointed, this is a rare version of the soundtrack that only a limited number of cds were released to the public b/c of the high demand for their music. They then took their score & music & put it on cds & made a few thousand of these soundtracks for the general public to keep.

The theme above in this video is heard in full on the cd without the 'birds' tweeting in the background. It also plays the Loved by the Sun theme w/o the lyrics --the very part where Tom Cruise (Jack) tells the female unicorn "I meant no wrong." Also, it has remixes by Tangerine Dream of the score and music and everything you hear in the movie and the part where the fairy sneaks to get a peak at what's happening to Lily when the Devil thing (Red Bull) seduces her.

For those of you wondering if there is a complete soundtrack of Legend with the score in its entirty by Tangerine Dream, there definitely is one. It is definitely not a bootleg, it's the real thing w/artwork and the whole nine yards. You can only find this audio cd soundtrack on iofferdotcom. It runs thirty seven dollars at least, but it's worth the price. Every single score and song is on this cd & in full. There are only so many of these cds available & will run out soon.

Fabulous job editing the song at the cutoff. I, too, have always disliked the fact that the song had to cut off too soon. Now, I can enjoy the full score, thanks to you! I heard Ridley Scott wasn't fond of Tangerine Dream's score to Legend, but I could never understand why.

I'd think the only reason he wouldn't like it would be because it's not "traditional". I much prefer it myself.

I bet its because tim curry got him to "experiment' in the love that dare not speak its name! His preformance wasnt bad in this movie so he couldnt be ashamed...if anything he started to party too hard in the late 80s and some of his movies suffered as a result ehm...cocktail

Like the waves of brilliance that is exemplified & personified in the score as if from Heaven - Tangerine Dream is Eternal Praise and Wisdom in and of their musical works of genius. I'm 33 and grew up with Vangelis and Tangerine Dream. I find peace and pensive prosperity in these musical wonders that both have brought into the scope of things both in cinema soundtracks and individual albums an immaculate capturing of timeless glory. always loved that music (in the 2nd half of the track) There is an expanded bootleg of Tangerine Dreams' score which has the full 7min version of this track but the sound quality (mono) isn't as good as the 'edited in' (stereo) version from the film as you've done here,

Actually its really confusing with the soundtracks as they are so many different versions. What needs to happen is Both the american and Euopean soundtracks get re-released with all the songs and i mean all of them remastered. No fucking around this time. Both OSTS can be called the american version and european version. Make them easily buyable and plenty of them. This way theres two easy to buy defenitive albums to buy.

This is not the Unicorn theme, all you did was take small parts from the unicorn theme, parts of the movie and most of the song Loved By the Sun and tweaked it around and called it the "full verison" of this song. I should know because I own the soundtrack. and if you yourself believed this was the full version of this song then you are a dumb sh$t!!! People need to stop sitting around on their asses without anything to do with their time because this is what happens. Get a life people!!

@romanticsoul21 Wow, relax, you're 25 years old. Have you looked up the rare full version of this song yet? It's here on youtube: v=PAsKftqdifk. I put this together to complete the other version that cut off at 5:15, right before finding that complete recording.

I own the soundtrack too. This version is not on it, and I like it better. It's like the Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure soundtrack : "In Time" is a different version from the movie.

I only keep this up because I had fun editing it.
