I really enjoyed this video! It's interesting to me that you use heat to remove your puny when you're switching axis. Is this because you find the marble to be to heavy to risk breaking it off?

I have recently started helping out at a glass studio out here on the weekends (Revere Glass Studio) and have been practicing your Vortex marble, (still doesn't come out anywhere near as nice as yours but practices makes perfect (or atleast better than the time before)). I agree, glass working is an addiction that I will hopefully have in my life from now on. Where is your studio located?

my take on a galxy marble would be a silver fumed vortex coming up from the the center with many white spots and tiny air traps that make a spiral a round the the silver fumed vortex almost like a negative vortex, the reason i ask is that i have just started lamp working and your video has help much more and cover much more then the rest, thanks for your time
@matt86626 We are wondering what you take on a galxy marble looks like. Would it be one that had creator looking holes in the center axis of the marble. Or are you thinking about the one with the planets in side the marble. Our film direct has up coming shows so may be a few months be for our next video, But can never see into the future to know for sure. Question: I really want to start making these cool "Vortex" marbles and I have a few questions:
1. How much experience is needed to start this hobby?
2. Where can I find the Torch, Tools, and whatever else I need to start this? Is there a website?
3. Is it an expensive hobby?
4. Is it ok to do this outside of ones apt?
and lastly 5. Is there a book or video that can teach me how to create these Marbles?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Want to do this badly!

is it possible to have a double sided vortex? instead of the solid color background, have another vortex on the back?
