to be honest, apple didn't include the gestures for a business reason in my view, i mean the hardware is built, the platform is set, apple when they see fit will just release a software update which HOPEFULLy will allow us to have more gestures on the magic mouse, its just apple saving more features for the future, typical apple lol

i personally don't like the magic mouse. the touch functions aren't used as much as you'd think, and it doesn't really feel right in the hand, as your hand is kind of floating above the mouse with only the back palm of the hand and the fingertips actually making contact.

yeah, easiest way is to scroll over the dock icon, click and hold. once the list comes up, scroll over the options button and check the box that says 'open at login'. (note: you'll have to put the application icon in the dock to perform the aforementioned action).

Open System Preferences and search for "Open Applications at Startup." Or just go to it under accounts. Under login items, you can select which apps open at startup! :)

I just got home from Apple's 4th (and newest store) in Manhattan today with my brand new Magic Mouse and it glides very smoothly compared to the Mighty Mouse (it's also a bit heavier).

Also, unlike the Mighty Mouse, when you lift the Magic Mouse, there is no red glow beneath it (I am working on a video illustrating the differences between the two side-by side).

If your Apple retail store does not carry it (most Apple stores are sold out), then don't hesitate to order it online.

The Apple Store (Upper West Side) is very nice.

On the street level, the entire roof is made of glass which allows natural light inside which I thought was very smart and energy efficient.

In fact, the walls and roof are all glass.

Apple really knows how to design amazing stores.
