  • All this detail ... And so many people NEVER see it since we have multi cores and EQ2 was designed to work around one or at most 2 cores. Thats right people. if you want EQ2 to run at it's best you need all your processors to be high end. the game is CPU dependant NOT GPU.

  • this program is awesome ive used it it is very well made, maya is a beast of a modeler

  • Wow they are using blender to make Everquest 2... Still a very impressive technique this guy uses for making the body of the dragon.

  • Would have made more sense to use Zbrush for the WHOLE thing. I mean, just have em stick you with a template piece of geometry, and do all the molding in Zbrush. Why would you import it? INSANITY!

  • @Arabman666 do you honestly beleive that they wouldnt do if it wasnt realisticly possible?, zbursh adds polygons to already existing base polygons, it is nothing like wat you are thiinking of.

    A template sphere or cube could have been morphed to the dragon in seconds, and much more efficiently. And the polygon number could have been limited to make broader adjustments, and then increased to fine tune the model. I've done it before. It just makes more sense to do this in Zbrush.

  • Geez. If that much work goes into a game like Everquest, I can't imagine the workload that goes into the bigger games like Skyrim or Bioshock Infinite.

  • @kurcalal Its Autodesk Maya, it costs 4000$.

  • @kurcalal he used autodesk maya, z-brush, photoshop and headus. he didnt show his work in photoshop but it was there in the back ground.

  • This showed the process really nicely! Its all so much work, but a lot of fun and rewarding! This is why i got into a game art course which im currently in my first year, and its awesome! :D
