my son is 15 months and he says that he says doggy kitty daddy mommy sometimes. he gives me hugs and kisses he has been walking since 12 months he points to what he wants.
My 15 month old unsrewed the cap to a lotion jar...I was astounded!
Question: My 15 month old boy can say one discernable word which is "this" he points at everything and says "this!" The rest of his "words" are babbles. Is this normal?
yes, some completely normal children start to talk much later, sometimes only as two-year-olds. If he keeps babbling until he's three then maybe you should start to worry...
He just turned 17 months..he doesn't say THIS anymore, he keeps saying a word that sounds like a swear word! LOL The looks I get at the supermarket line ups are funny as hell. He says "Ball" and "swear worrd" The odd time he'll say dadda, but he stopped saying momma :-(

actually, most 15-month-olds can only babble! some can say words, and a few can really speak. so your boy is completely normal
