About 6 months ago i bought an ibuypower computer with this cooler installed, I may be a computer noob but when I first bought it I saw and heard (just a little but still there) water running through the radiator, now I'm not seeing or hearing anything. I just noticed that yesterday and its kinda worrying me. I havent seen any changes in performance or any errors but I dont oc my cpu. I have an amd phenom ii x4 970.
@dandroid9 i have intel processor and it has a software where you can see the performance of your hardware, how warm is the CPU, motherboard, north and south chips, also the RPM that the fan or cooler developes while it becomes warmer. maybe you can find some kinda software that fits on your amd CPU. but if you see no change on these stats you dont have to be worried if it doesnt sound
no differenet from my stock cpu cooler. similar noise level. maybe coz mine is a simple dual core 65watt amd athlon ii 220 cpu. nothing special but i wanna get something decent. dont wanna blow £100 on Nofen silent cpu fan. that one is a beast
Just got mine today from newegg in a sealed box .... radiator fins were trashed .. the only thing i got that was any good for my 90 bucks was the instructions and the cardboard box .. good luck
@BlackgoldTwinduck comparing price, i would say go with the h70. costs same as the v8 and can handle some fairly soft overclocking. currently running my i7 2600k 3.4ghz at 4.7ghz and having no problems or high temps
ATTENTION:If you need help installing a cpu cooling system, even after this video...you need to give up and accept that your a retard! got a question. is there any issue regarding mounting the radiator on specific cpu cases? i have hp elite desktop. i really want to get one of these water cooler, my fan is so noisy when i write articles i cant focus.
they do leak actually just had one replaced avoid flexing the pipes from anywhere near the bottom of raidiator there are steel runners from the rad extending about 1.5cm avoid flexinf this area because they WILL split oh by the way CORSAIR designed it not ascock
I bought this system, it was a pain to install as I've never done it before, so I had Best Buy install it. over all the hottest this thing ever got was 85*F it boots up at 68*F so I compared those results to my stock fan, that fan ran the system up to 98*F on the desktop with almost nothing running. Thats the main reason I trashed the stock fan. I want my pc to last for a decade. I am very happy with this LC unit. i also have a GS700 PS from corsair. great PS. im a corsair user 4 life.
@83emil83 wow, that sounds great, i got the stock cooler on the AMD Phenom || x4 955 BE, overclocked to 3,5 with stock cooler, and i get 59C at the max. cant wait to get my h50 now ! :D
@Littlestokesey got my phenom x6 II 1090t @ 4.0 Ghz running 30-40 at idle and around 50 under full load, guess your temps will be even lower cuz ur running 2 cores less..
@LetsPlayHDLive "The stock piece of thermal tape on the back of the H50 is Shin Etsu, this is a very good TIM (Thermal Interface Material) and normally ranks above your normal cheaper candidates (MX3 or AS5)."
Got H50 (for $50) with dual fans in push-pull exhaust config on i5 750 overclocked to 3.5GHz. CPU is 36C on idle and 64C on 100% load (by running prime95)
Can you guys tellme if can i run this on a Thermaltake WingRS 301 or any other Mid-Tower case? I want to get this on my case, cause it seems to see not that big.

I really really doubt this thing cooled it down to 59c on a 4ghz i7. That means this thing is almost as good as a $200-$300 custom loop. I have the H50 with 2 fans push pull and it gets to 80c on my i7 4ghz
I am calling complete and utter BS on this review. How much does this guy get paid to test these products? His test procedures must be very poor indeed. Does he throw out the 1st hour of testing and then use an average? If not, bogus report.
Testing over at overclockers cm had these temps on a stock 860 with a 22 ambient. 3.8 put it north of 71. This has been repeated on multiple other sites. Something smells fishy here.
You must have done those tests in an icebox because my H50 with arctic silver and a core i7 930 at same volts and speed WITH 2 high speed fans in push pull gets up to the low 70's
@drumsrule786 He did say he did it in a room at 22'C so maybe your arctic silver just needs some time to work properly, my AS 5 also took a while to reach it's full potential.
This is a winner for me but my only wish for future revisions is that they have an I/O for us to add our own fluids plus allow the hose to be detachable so we can add our own RADIATOR. I'd like to try real COOLANT or maybe get creative with the hoses and use a bucket filled with ICE. LOL.
I have one similar to this, but it's an Antec. It was only 20 bucks, and it cools better than a full on liquid cooling module under full load. But idle temps are much higher. I highly suggest one of these as it's no maintenance, and cools better than anything else I've seen. I OC'd .7ghz and heat under full load didn't go up at all. Definitely the way to go.
BlaBla. I bought this and what i can say about it is AVOID! Does not perform better than a good air cooler. Pump is loud! First i thought it was faulty but thats how they are! And fan used is OMG stay away. This clearly shows how lab tests are nowhere near a real life performance. And on top of that authors like 3dgameman cannot say anything really bad about brands such as corsair or they would quickly vanish.
@TensonFlo To give you an IDEA. I cool my X4 620 and it's OC from 2.6 GHZ to 3.5Ghz going only 60c. That's better than all the AIR coolers I've ever used in the past. I was using Arctic Freezer Extreme, Typhoon & a few others. Those were FAILS.
This one wins because it keeps all the heat away from the other components & delivers it all to the fan & Radiator.
@mathias921 have you met the guy in real life or is your opinion based on his videos(Which he is very friendly)? I'm sure he is friendly in person aswell!
note note note note note, im going to note that, note what? note just like that, note it, note that, please sir, tell me, did i notice the note that you noted there?
@shytzcrazyo if u add 2 fans 1 on each end u can have them sucking the air both in the same direction ---> this apparently cools much more significantly
@shytzcrazyo it depends on which way u install the fan im sure u can direct the air in the direction u want but it would be dumb to direct it into the case since it looks like this fan and radiator replace the rear exhaust fan that most cases have
@SCoNeIRL It's difficult to say. Best is to ask around to see if anyone fitted the unit in a case similar to yours. The alternative is to see if you can fit two or three fans back-to-back at the back of the case. That's roughly the size of the H50 / H70. The pump is not really a problem, but the radiator adds extra width to the fan at the back of the case. Also, some motherboards protrude at the back, which can get in the way.
i got the asetek 510LC for my haf rig with phenom II x6 1090T now i know the H50 is way more superior but i heard the H50 is built off asetek's technology so its pretty much the same thing
i suck at chemistry but im guessing the fan inside the black cover thing gets so hot it turns the air inside the black cover thing into droplets of steam or water droplets, and the radiator at the back generates the same droplets of steam both are put together to make liquid go back and forth? wouldnt it take pretty long for it to generate liquid? o-O
@phreake2 Custom water block kit : Your standard waterblock + radioator + reservoir + pump + tubing, usually a DYI operation, and requires high maintenance.
Better products : The H70 (needs big case), or any high end air cooler. Megahelm, Noctua NH-D14, ... It's a trade-off. The H50 is not silent but quiet even under load. An air-cooler may have better performance under heavy load (overclock, full load), but will be louder.
The H50 is a good trade-off. Low noise, and good performance.
@phreake2 It's just one of the high end coolers. The Megahelm is quite popular as an alternative. In any case, the fan performance and number have an impact. Look up on the internet for comparisons and reviews of various high performance coolers. The H50 can be put into push-pull configuration, but the gain is marginal.
Also, high end air coolers are quite bulky and heavy (as well as expensive). It's another thing to take into consideration, especially if you intend to move the case about.
@iwantpk2 hey i use this exact model in my pc i built and, yes, you never have to refill it. keeps stuff cool to, AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz overclocked to 3.9GHz and the internal heat of the cpu is only up 1 degree celsius from 38-39 to 39-40
@iwantpk2 The main problem is the clearance at the radiator side. If you can fit two 120mm fans back to back in your case (plus a little room), the H50 will fit. You can also fit the H50 in push-pull, with two fans, but obviously, you need more room :) It's perfectly fan unmodded though.
One important thing is to plug the pump into a three pin adapter on the mobo, without voltage control, so the pump get all the juice. The rest is very straight forward.
@condor484 um, it doesn't need filling, it is delivered pre-filled and sealed. Zero maintenance required!

You must have done those tests in an icebox because my H50 with arctic silver and a core i7 930 at same volts and speed WITH 2 high speed fans in push pull gets up to the low 70's
drumsrule786 1 year ago
@drumsrule786 He did say he did it in a room at 22'C so maybe your arctic silver just needs some time to work properly, my AS 5 also took a while to reach it's full potential.

This is a cool cooler because it keeps your cpu cool and looks cool as well. Did i mention that liquid cooling is cool :D
MrBluBox 1 year ago
This is a winner for me but my only wish for future revisions is that they have an I/O for us to add our own fluids plus allow the hose to be detachable so we can add our own RADIATOR. I'd like to try real COOLANT or maybe get creative with the hoses and use a bucket filled with ICE. LOL.
cyberhmoob 1 year ago

How much I can overclock my AMD X2 555 with that cooler? Anybody has an idea?
TensonFlo 1 year ago
@TensonFlo To give you an IDEA. I cool my X4 620 and it's OC from 2.6 GHZ to 3.5Ghz going only 60c. That's better than all the AIR coolers I've ever used in the past. I was using Arctic Freezer Extreme, Typhoon & a few others. Those were FAILS.
This one wins because it keeps all the heat away from the other components & delivers it all to the fan & Radiator.
What a BEAST & for it's size it's incredible.

Really cool cooler! LOL!

Can i install this on my side panel window? It would be like the pefect dust filter and cool my cpu at the same time.

which way does the fan blow? does it suck air into the radiator or does it blow it out the back of the pc?
shytzcrazyo 1 year ago
@shytzcrazyo if u add 2 fans 1 on each end u can have them sucking the air both in the same direction ---> this apparently cools much more significantly
halcontv 1 year ago
@shytzcrazyo it depends on which way u install the fan im sure u can direct the air in the direction u want but it would be dumb to direct it into the case since it looks like this fan and radiator replace the rear exhaust fan that most cases have
bobwatters 1 year ago
@shytzcrazyo You may customise it. But Corsair recommends the fan to blow cool air to the radiator.

does it fit in a lancool case if not whats the best case for this
SCoNeIRL 1 year ago
@SCoNeIRL It's difficult to say. Best is to ask around to see if anyone fitted the unit in a case similar to yours. The alternative is to see if you can fit two or three fans back-to-back at the back of the case. That's roughly the size of the H50 / H70. The pump is not really a problem, but the radiator adds extra width to the fan at the back of the case. Also, some motherboards protrude at the back, which can get in the way.
basstard013 1 year ago
It will fit in most cases with a bottom mounted PSU.
SharkWADs 1 year ago
i got the asetek 510LC for my haf rig with phenom II x6 1090T now i know the H50 is way more superior but i heard the H50 is built off asetek's technology so its pretty much the same thing
PiMpStAnLeY 1 year ago
i suck at chemistry but im guessing the fan inside the black cover thing gets so hot it turns the air inside the black cover thing into droplets of steam or water droplets, and the radiator at the back generates the same droplets of steam both are put together to make liquid go back and forth? wouldnt it take pretty long for it to generate liquid? o-O
PiMpStAnLeY 1 year ago
@PiMpStAnLeY well the cpu gets hot in like seconds

im a rookie. Wats a custom water cooling kit? Also which other products are better than h50?
phreake2 1 year ago
@phreake2 Custom water block kit : Your standard waterblock + radioator + reservoir + pump + tubing, usually a DYI operation, and requires high maintenance.
Better products : The H70 (needs big case), or any high end air cooler. Megahelm, Noctua NH-D14, ... It's a trade-off. The H50 is not silent but quiet even under load. An air-cooler may have better performance under heavy load (overclock, full load), but will be louder.
The H50 is a good trade-off. Low noise, and good performance.
basstard013 1 year ago
@basstard013 So the noctua d14 is better than h50 then. Interesting. I think id go with h70 if i were building a system. Thanks for the info
phreake2 1 year ago
@phreake2 It's just one of the high end coolers. The Megahelm is quite popular as an alternative. In any case, the fan performance and number have an impact. Look up on the internet for comparisons and reviews of various high performance coolers. The H50 can be put into push-pull configuration, but the gain is marginal.
Also, high end air coolers are quite bulky and heavy (as well as expensive). It's another thing to take into consideration, especially if you intend to move the case about.

@OneUpE1even Cool, thank you
iwantpk2 1 year ago
@iwantpk2 hey i use this exact model in my pc i built and, yes, you never have to refill it. keeps stuff cool to, AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz overclocked to 3.9GHz and the internal heat of the cpu is only up 1 degree celsius from 38-39 to 39-40
ddyuj 1 year ago
@ddyuj Will it fit in a mid tower?
Go AMD btw. :)
iwantpk2 1 year ago
@iwantpk2 The main problem is the clearance at the radiator side. If you can fit two 120mm fans back to back in your case (plus a little room), the H50 will fit. You can also fit the H50 in push-pull, with two fans, but obviously, you need more room :) It's perfectly fan unmodded though.
One important thing is to plug the pump into a three pin adapter on the mobo, without voltage control, so the pump get all the juice. The rest is very straight forward.
basstard013 1 year ago
so this is liquid cooling but you never have to refill it or any maintnance or how does this work?
