It seems to me that photographs cannot depict Belgrade in the best way. I've been to Belgrade a few days ago and I saw that it's much better in person. Kalemegdan, Republic Square, Temple of Saint Sava; when I saw these monuments, I was really astonished. I've been to Barcelona this year. It really is a nice city but it also has a lot of tourist kitsch. In my view, Belgrade is a nices city.

Cini mi se da se Beograd nikako ne moze slikama predstaviti na pravi nacin. Bio sam neki dan u Beogradu i hiljadu mi je puta ljepsi nego na slikama. Kalemegdan, Trg republike, Knez Mihajlova, Hram Svetog Save na Vracaru; bio sam ocaran. Recimo, ove godine sam bio u Barseloni, stvarno lijep grad, ali je i jako kicast. no it's not it's easy for russians to come to serbia. many serbs learn russians and the languages are similar and the aplhabet is too, but cant really understand each other without knowing some of serb/russian.

I have just returned from my first ever trip to Belgrade. I really fell in love with the city and the people. There is a real culture of hospitality there, not to mention the fantastic night life !

I am ashamed of the way the rest of Europe has treated Serbia. If they take Kosovo away than you should unite Serbia and the Serb Republic of Bosnia !

I was in Belgrade last summer and again in the winter and it is a nice, interesting city. The food was good and the river is of course huge. I never got over to see the islands though. Pity...but i did go swimming in Ada lake and it was very hot. In winter time the scenery is really picture postcard with the limbs of trees heavy with pure white snow....beautiful but seriously cold.
