@itsnotallsad Second one is easily the best in the series, I would pick that one over 3&4 any day of the week... However, I'd still recommend you trying out the third one, if only for the costume creator.

Nice bit of info, I believe yoshimitsu was a guest character in SC1, My friend told me they had a prequel before SC itself is this true? but anyways word is yoshimitsu was a guest and he was allowed to stay. Seems a good theory they both in Tekken and SC have similiar move lists.

@Saiyan112696: Yes, there was a game before SoulCalibur, Soul Edge, or better known as Soul Blade outside Japan. I played the PS1 version a few times, it was lol'able. But you could destroy opponent's weapons if he/she blocked too many times.

Hmm, interesting. Tekken beats Soul Calibur though, even inside another game. =P *looks at Heihachi*

Lol'able? You're kidding me right? SoulBlade was the biggest reason why I skipped Tekken 2. I can only guess you first played it in recent years cause, yeah, it has aged like dogshit.

@strykah92: I went straight to Tekken 3. =P I played SB back in... 2003/4, I think. Yeah, you could say recent years but honestly, if I was to play that game with a friend now I'd probably end up laughing because of Siegfried's certain "HAAA", the un-knowledged button mashing or random ring outs... which could be partially achieved in VF5 as well. I can see it being good for it's time and I'd like to get it as a PS1 classic even if just for keepsake, already own SC1-4. But each to their own. =)

Man, they should have kept Heihachi in all SC3 and 4. He really fits into the roster and his moves where cool and powerful. SC2 was also the very first PS2 game I bought along with the console, so I played the living hell out of it ;)

Mostly with Heihachi though. He's the awesomest old man in video game history! xD

I didn't get why Spawn was in the xbox version, i mean, Tekken was an PlayStation 2 exclusive so Heihachi, Link it's a nintendo character, so Link in the gamecube, but Spawn what the heck ?

nooo taki my love!! lol ur really good with heihachi, but i think id give u a better fight with taki since she my best character : D and heichachi dosent really seem soul calibur-ish if you know what i mean. for the ps2 version i think cloud, strider hiryu, or ryu hayabusa would have been great (even though ninja gaiden black and ninja gaiden were for xbox) : D

Yeah, the A.I. is what it is.... But I haven't played any of the Soul Calibur games I have for a while, so without Heihachi in SC2, I'd probably get beaten hands down. xD

Heihachi is one of the characters in the series that has appeared in every installment, others being Nina Williams, Paul Phoenix and Yoshimitsu.

Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny for PSP(only) is the most recent Soul Calibur game. It has Kratos as a guest character, and the game mostly is a remade(or revised) version of Soul Calibur IV that got released on PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 a year back.

Oh? I use Pinnacle Studio Moviebox 12 to record my gameplay videos. I have to watch from the capture screen on a laptop so I could see what the heck I'm doing while recording. There are better devices than the one I have, but this goes fine, and as you can see, quality is pretty damn good. =D
