@gymbert13 The part with the wraith near the oak, just before the ride sequence. Its a look-alike tree (on the south downs, chanctonbury ring) to the 'chained oak', green screened into the background as I couldn't film at the real one due to light conditions.

Thumbs up if u think that when it pulls u into that bit where u drop it should say "we are currently experiencing some technical difficulties, please stand by as we pull you off the track to fix the dilemma" and then it drops u lol that wud be sooooo freaky!

What a great ride Thirteen is: the effort the desigers went to is something out of this world and this documentary backs this up. Great coaster for Alton, and I am sure coaster fans can't wait to see what Intamin are going to do with that drop technique in the future!

its about time someone actually give this ride a good reveiw and understand what the ride is meant to be aimed at. as a roller coaster geek i am well behind what alton are aiming for. though cant wait for the next thrill ride

I applaud the executives of alton towers for putting so much emphasis on theming. To me, theming is just as important as the actual thrill of a ride. Although i live right next to a similar, albeit smaller, Theme Park in Germany (Phantasialand) i would like to visit alton towers more than any six flag park in the states. And hopefully i will during this summer.

great video but the ride did not live up to the huge hype alton towers put into it. It is very much like a family mine ride coaster. here in the states we have tons like that other then the drop in the building but there are coasters that go up in stead of down here

how did you get the "thirteen" sound at the beginning, i have been trying so hard to get the audio with that girls voice in..and i cant find it anywhere... anyone know where to get it?

@DALEKDAVE45 It was actually out of luck that when I filmed that shot, the sound of the girl was played on the loud speakers near the ride entrance!
