I write my things down whenever I can. I actually went back and read something I had written a few months ago and I laughed at myself because what I thought was such a big deal then no longer means anything.
i have started doing 10 minutes of crunches every morning. also, from time to time i listen to 10 minutes of classical music with my eyes closed. i totally dislike student loans while working for a non-profit. talk about crappy money.
You don't know how much I hear you on this. Money is so hard and tight nowadays... and right now the Holiday season is so filled with work and projects, its hard to find a balance. For me to calm down - Sex & the City, laundry, Tumblr... those are the things that let me just unwind. And I hear you on student loans - it seriously sucks. Don't be stressed out! We'll unwind in LA in a couple weeks. Deal? Deal!
Try a nice warm bubble bath with scented candles. Or even light scented candles and sit in the dark reflecting as you take in the scent. Or perhaps go for a drive (not that you want to be spending that type of money if you don't have to). And there is the always popular glass of wine, preferably red that is mellow or possibly a tad bit on the tannic side.
