The tomahawk serve can produce different types of spin, therefore, it is not possible to return the serve each time with the same motion.

@3isico if you can read their spin aim for the oppisite side of the table where the spin will take your shot if you dont do anything and send the same spin back. it works because then theirs so much spin on the ball they wont be able to return it easily. at least thats what i do

I'm still wondering how to receive fast sidespin serves :S

I know that i have to change the angle of my bat to counter the sidespin effect but still I meet tons of players who execute these kind of serves and I cant get the ball on the table... Maybe some1 knows any tips to help me further?! :)

It's good to serve all over the table for variation and to keep opponents guessing, otherwise long services, such as the tomahawk here, would be pointless. The only problem with the serve is that it is about 2-3 inches above the net and the spin is easy to read.
