@XDX85 not many people think so because of prejudice they haven't let go of. Also people don't often think of the inner aspect being different to the outer. A man can have a predominantly female soul. Likewise a woman can have a predominantly male soul. Duality creates extremes of everything and different shades in between. It's the inbetween shades that make life all the more colourful and varied. If only the extremes existed everything would appear too orderly, too perfect.

@XDX85 your question relates to the physical aspect, the bodies which isn't really relevant. All that matters is balance of the souls. Each shall recognise a quantity of it's opposite in itself. When masculine accepts the feminine in itse;f and feminine accepts the masculine in itself then oneness with your twin becomes easy, you understand your twin, your equal popposite, from inside yourself first. the physical world is one of duality, so both gay and straight twin sets can occur.

I guess we need to learn about love before the twin souls may be born as male and female and create the one whole again, to be of service to humanity... and if in the state of twin flame, we lose or sence of being male or female and we doubt our roles, it should be possible that for same sex couples, given they are twin souls, to be united in twin flame :)

@XDX85 our twin souls could be anybody, male to male, female to female or different genders. anyway, we are neither, we are just wearing clothes. we have the right to be whoever makes us feel good, compliment our being, unite the souls. Just my understanding. We are just souls of love, who long to be whole again in this sea of illusion. But unconditional love comes close second to that. At this point, we are one with other beings so we are fulfilled as when we found our twin flames/souls
