I am not sure I agree. She was honestly just a poor womens Zmeskal. Basically only a power gymnast, less great of one then Kim, without much technique, form, and certainly no artistry. She did not come close to the pure gymnastics quality of Miller, the overall skill level of Dawes, or the personality and quick paced acrobatics of a young Moceanu. So I dont think she had it in her to be a tru elite like any of those were, nor was she an amazing specialist on any event like Chow on bars.
That was a period of cookie cutter bar routines, and Bela was notorious for working the Code to get the highest scores with the lowest difficulty (what a comedown from Comaneci!)...anyone remember that LOUSY front-half 'dismount' Okino did for her ENTIRE CAREER (silver medal, worlds 92, thank you)?
I agree with TuesdayPillow. Far more talent than Bela ever brought to fruition. Imagine her with Arkaeev....sigh.
@tightlygagged I agree with both of you, just watch her floor compulsories in 92 olympics, she had one of the best interpretation of music, so you can realized that she actually could dance and had way more artistry than she could have shown us with pozsar's choreography
anyone know her score?
