@ParanoiaA22 ...I think ALL slims require the pcb now (if i'm not mistaken) THIS video shows the simple process. As far as the probe goes, I usually keep mine on because it seems to work best when connected, even if i'm not extracting a key.

@TheGal9989 torx screwdriver is needed to unscrew the second side panal unveiling the disc drive. Not to hard, just as tricky as before, watch videos, and just be careful some can be annoying to do. You may connect it to your motherboard depending on what chipset you have but thats if your lucky enough to get it to dump your key. Having 360usb removes any incompatibility problems if any.

The files you dump only contains your key and all infomation about your drive, they release stock firmware with the hacked firmware ready to flash back if you changed your mind or wanting to be safe when updating the dashboard. Newest firmware should be safe online they have just added more protection to ap2.5 so newest games may not boot, i dont think they ban anymore anyway as they let everyone online when ps3 servers went down.
