i always play rush, and i think that the worry about timing ads to the suspense of defending, and actually give attacker a chance now that explosives and destruction is now unavalible
I've gotta admit, I liked being able to sneak into the enemy base and using C4 to destroy the MCOM station. Forcing players to arm the station seriously limits any type of choices you may of had. I'm not sure how it will work in the final game, but it sounds that defending MCOMs just became campingly easy.
i have both the pc and the 360, love them both, the only thing i dont get is that console gamers hate on the pc gamers, they dont realise that without pc gaming there wouldnt be console gaming...

PC gamers seem to always pick at consoles and people who play them more than anything. I have no issue with PC gaming at all and wish I still had my other PC and laptop that could play them. The one credit I give consoles over PC's is that any game you buy on console you can play on the system for the most part without having to go out and spend a lot of upgrades.

@TheGameplaysDeluxe I'm not denying that PC started gaming. But if you want to be really technical with that, Pong was the first video game, which was of course a console. PC may have started a new generationg of gaming, but that kicked off an ever newer generation of gaming, which was the xbox and the ps2, and later xbox 360, ps3, wii, etc...Of course these consoles didn't start the games we have today, but the revolutionized it.

Will there be private matches where there's no set minimum amount of players? It's good to get to know a map, play around, and play games without having to have 7 other friends playing too
Why is having 2 discs for the 360 such a big deal? Stop being lazy, get up, and switch the discs. It's not that hard. I don't mind it because at least it's not a exclusive pc game. Us console players should be grateful that we can play Battlefield 3 when it comes out

The Rush charge changes sound great. I wonder if they give you tickets if you blow an M-COM now though, because in Alpha you'd always get the first one off and then have like 20 tickets left.

I can agree with that. It's not every day when you meet someone intelligent like you on the internet. My point is that DICE needs money to fund games and the money they get from consoles benefits the PC. Battlefield wouldn't be as good as it is without the consoles in my opinion. I don't personally think gameplay is better on PC, I prefer console gameplay. In my opinion the graphics for consoles are good enough. We do need new consoles though.

I like having 2 discs because it means there's a lot on each of them with less bugs. Nothing from singleplayer messing with multiplayer. Plus people can see you're wanting to play singleplayer instead of just wasting time. The discs work like normal. Just no sp on the mp disc.

dude, why is half of this about rush? rush is terrible. its not battlefield, period. conquest is battlefield. none of this means anything to hardcore battlefield players, at all.
1. I think that jets will be quite interesting to use for rush, they will provide a good tactical option for helping to either attack or defending. I also think it is a good idea to have only MCOM stations be destroyable by planting only, got frustrating otherwise. I do also find it interesting how the MCOM detonation will be delayed if currently being disarmed... kind of unrealistic though, but meh, opinions, everyone has one.
battlefield 3 on pc is going to have 64 players yes but that's it. The 1080p to 780p really wont make a difference in game play plus there's rly not much difference in graphics
@GoombaFTW I call bullshit there. Firstly, 64 players (and the larger maps) will make a HUGE difference to gameplay. Second, the difference between 1080p and 704p (which it runs in on consoles) is huge, 1080p has more than twice the pixel count. Lastly, the difference in the graphics themselves, ignoring resolution, is huge. The consoles are running it on DX9 hardware whereas the PC version won't even run IN DX9.
I'm not saying the console version won't be good. It will. But PC will be better.

If thats worth buying a 1000 dollar computer to you thats fine but to me id rather save my money for something else. and yes the 64 players will affect gameplay you obviously didnt read when i said the GRAPHICS wouldn't make a difference in gameplay. Then again i do see your point, if you have the money why not get a game capable of more players and better graphics..

You know I actually think that the fact of the Xbox 360 one coming with a multiplayer & a singleplayer disc isn't to bad. Because I usually play singleplayer & then multiplayer leaving me with a singleplayer disc i wont use again so I can lend the singleplayer disc to my friends who have Xbox 360s as well for a couple of weeks. All PC players do is constantly bitch and complain about consoles and you don't realize the developers are getting 3x-4x the money from it, which makes it easier to make better games. But for myself i prefer a good game with superior gameplay with beast graphics (like battlefield 3) the consoles are fun in a way but its highly time that they make a new console from this year with beast hardware in it.

I can agree with that. It's not every day when you meet someone intelligent like you on the internet. My point is that DICE needs money to fund games and the money they get from consoles benefits the PC. Battlefield wouldn't be as good as it is without the consoles in my opinion. I don't personally think gameplay is better on PC, I prefer console gameplay. In my opinion the graphics for consoles are good enough. We do need new consoles though.
I legitly love having 2 discs btw :)

@MAlford65 i prefer physical discs to but if u have 2 discs i prefer the 1st discs as an installation disc and the other required to play. dont know how 2 or 3 discs work at an console because i never had to switch before :P btw i hate digital retailers like steam because u have everything on a single acount and what if u lose your acount 0_o thats why i still prefer good old fashion DVD`s or even better blu rays :D

I like having 2 discs because it means there's a lot on each of them with less bugs. Nothing from singleplayer messing with multiplayer. Plus people can see you're wanting to play singleplayer instead of just wasting time. The discs work like normal. Just no sp on the mp disc.

@MAlford65 the popularity on consoles in no way makes pc gaming better, because of consoles pc gamers now have to deal with things like matchmaking and drm all due to console gaming, and not everything gets 3x 4x better sales on console compared to pc, why do you think bf3's lead platform is pc? its becuase it sold much more then the ps3 and on par with the 360, but the expantion pack sold better on pc and after a year the pc had 3 times the amount of people playing it,

You seem to haven't read my comment correctly. Yes it does make it better because the developers get 3x-4x the revenue TOTAL. No just from consoles. You're going to have the MP you want in BF3. Battlefield wouldn't have the funding it has without consoles, which makes the PC games better.
PC gamers need to learn to be a little more patient in technology. When new consoles come out there will be a leap in gaming that PC's may not have gotten without consoles.

We're talking about BF. CoD is a console based game that PC players shouldn't even look at since they have Battlefield. And yes, more funding for a game, in the right hands(like DICE) does make better games. It's not to hard to grasp.

1. I think that jets will be quite interesting to use for rush, they will provide a good tactical option for helping to either attack or defending. I also think it is a good idea to have only MCOM stations be destroyable by planting only, got frustrating otherwise. I do also find it interesting how the MCOM detonation will be delayed if currently being disarmed... kind of unrealistic though, but meh, opinions, everyone has one.

battlefield 3 on pc is going to have 64 players yes but that's it. The 1080p to 780p really wont make a difference in game play plus there's rly not much difference in graphics

@GoombaFTW I call bullshit there. Firstly, 64 players (and the larger maps) will make a HUGE difference to gameplay. Second, the difference between 1080p and 704p (which it runs in on consoles) is huge, 1080p has more than twice the pixel count. Lastly, the difference in the graphics themselves, ignoring resolution, is huge. The consoles are running it on DX9 hardware whereas the PC version won't even run IN DX9.
I'm not saying the console version won't be good. It will. But PC will be better.

If thats worth buying a 1000 dollar computer to you thats fine but to me id rather save my money for something else. and yes the 64 players will affect gameplay you obviously didnt read when i said the GRAPHICS wouldn't make a difference in gameplay. Then again i do see your point, if you have the money why not get a game capable of more players and better graphics..

Still, at the end of the day, if you enjoy playing on consoles (and/or can't/don't want to spend $800+ on a gaming PC) then fair enough. You know I actually think that the fact of the Xbox 360 one coming with a multiplayer & a singleplayer disc isn't to bad. Because I usually play singleplayer & then multiplayer leaving me with a singleplayer disc i wont use again so I can lend the singleplayer disc to my friends who have Xbox 360s as well for a couple of weeks. I also want to know how I can access the Battlefield 3 beta the 2 days early on my Xbox 360 (yes I do own Medal of Honor limited edition) & i haven't received the email.
