@Pjotr42 I (sadly) agree. I love his old routines, and they ARE funnier. The material is stronger, and also, I think we all enjoyed the character of "Eddie Izzard the Transvestite". Intelligent, insightful and WITTY!

The more recent stuff is just a guy trying to be funny.

That said, his early work IS amazing....perhaps he's just run his course (or "shot his wad" as the Americans like to say)
