  • grat video! but how did you get the wingman?

  • @WerAMiDCTV I was flying both planes, at different times, than replayed them together. I used a program called FSRecorder.

  • How did you record the actual video? FSRecorder can't convert the file into a video just text. So how did you do it?

  • @MegaMatroix I used FRAPS.

  • is it online or free flight and its youre wingman a computer?

  • @ThePrettyboyfano I flew and record the refueling aircraft first, and then flew and record the wingman aircraft next. Then I replayed both flights at the same time and recorded the video. I used a program called FSRecorder. Oh, I also flew the tanker aircraft for about 10 minutes, before I flew the other two :)

  • is that a friend next to you?

  • @ThePrettyboyfano Yep, it's a wingman :)

  • whats the song calld i like it

  • How did you get the other f-18 to follow you? is it multiplayer ? and whats that you opened at 0:43 the window on the far left?

  • Hi, is it possible to set the refuelling zone as you wish ?

  • @remmahsroht Hi, not at the moment. In future versions it may be much more flexible :)

  • I hope they let us do this in Battlefield 3 :D

  • Dont you need to use autopilot?

  • @5479900 I haven't tried to do it with autopilot, also the tanker can move little and you have to adjust the autopilot speed/altitude/course to correct for that. I think it is easier with just manual flying.

  • @5479900 airforce uses autopilot to refuel. navy does it without

  • oh sorry

  • u never connected with the nozzle

  • @MagicHacker9268 Yes, unfortunately such connection is not implemented in Flight Simulator. If I get closer I would just fly through the probe, so you just have to fly an almost perfect formation during the simulated refueling process. It would be much easier with a hard connection.

  • @degigi2003 As it is when you do it in real... You have MUCH more move-abilities... Its VERY easy to refuel with the saitek X65f since you can choose the sensitivness of the stick... Kinda awesome.

  • u make it look easy

  • ah...you dont fly in fingertip when you are air refueling...

  • i cant find that refuel plane

  • I downloaded the KC-135T and it will not let me use it in multiplayer. Do you have any idea why?

  • @dsmembereddreams What do you mean, how does it not let you, what happens?

  • @degigi2003 When I try to enter a session after choosing the KC-135T it boots me off of gamespy. It's only with that plane that it does that.

  • do u have certain keys to press to call this plane like when u want to call a tow plane for a glider?

  • @Mrdbz1000 No, the tanker has to be either on schedule, an FSRecorder recorded flight, or just a random AI traffic. You can also ask a buddy of yours to fly a tanker in multiplayer.

  • @degigi2003 what guage are you talking about that you to download and if i happen to be flying when this plane is in the air how do i find it? Do u have any other links because i dont really want to sigh up for the website.

  • @Mrdbz1000 You can find the tanker (or any other airplane) using the refueling gauge - it has a traffic info panel which shows all air traffic, type of aircraft, altitude and bearing. You can download it from the link here or from Simviation - on the website make a search for "in-flight refueling gauge".

  • @degigi2003 What keys do you press to open the refueling guage? How do i add on a plane to the scenary in single player. Ex. when i downlaod a380, how do i see another a380 flying in the sky. Just like scenary addon, where you add new scenaries then you can see new scenaries. How do you see new airplanes? Please help. Nice video by the way!

  • so its not even touching! ... Thats kind of a fluke!

  • @lekkimsm2500 This is a limitation of the simulator - you cannot physically attach to another plane to refuel, so you have to fly perfectly in formation and simulate the procedure.

  • @degigi2003 It just think its so sad... They put ALOT of effort in FSX, but oh god, the physics! They are horrible!

  • oh i foundt out how to find it but nows theres a new problem :/ its just standing there at san diegos airport :( little help plz

  • i 2 problems with this

1 how do i find the kc135 to refuel from? :O and 2 when i try to refuel from a normal aircraft i am having problems with hitting the right speed any tips? plz help :)

  • how did u install this pleas help. thanks

  • @ramahboy07 I think there is a detailed installation instructions in the readme.

  • Thumbs up if black ops brought you here

HOWD U OPEN THE FUELING PIPE THING!?!?!?!?

  • @LegoMovieMan44 There is a switch in the cockpit I am pressing at 00:39

  • Thumbs up if black ops brought you here

  • Guys, could this refeuling work if a friend is flying the tanker on multiplayer and I get behind him?? cause I wanted to do this in Multi

  • @miguelandroide Yes, this is the best way to do it and it's really fun :)

  • @degigi2003 how do u find the kc-135 in fsx

  • @vrsman10 Hi, there are two ways - one is to use an AI flight plan with the KC-135, you must manually install such flight plan in FSX. More instructions in the KC-135 download package (the link is in the description). The other way, which I prefer, is to use a program called FSRecorder. I fly the KC-135 on autopilot for about 10 minutes and record the flight with FSRecorder. Then I jump in the F/A-18 and replay the recorder KC-135. This is what I did in the video.

  • Guys, could this refeuling work if a friend is flying the tanker on multiplayer and I get behind him??

  • @miguelandroide

yep in fact we do it often.

  • This video made me extremely happy, With that epic song.

  • where do you get the kc 135 tank plane

  • @artaza99 Hi, there is a download link for the KC-135 in the description.

  • I typed everything but it didn't work, because I dont know which letter is good

  • Refueling over a populated area!?!?

  • @Tarkalark I'd rather refuel over a populated area, than fall down in a populated area when I am out of gas :)

  • how do you refuelling? using the autopilot to get stable?... i try more time manual air refuelling but it´s most difficult to be close and stable from tanker.

  • @Fenixs11 No, you can't do this with autopilot, it's all manual. You have to make very fine adjustments with the trim, joystick and throttle. This is what makes it so fun and challenging :)

  • @degigi2003 ~ OK - I'm in my F-14 with the refueling controls on, chasing this frackin' AI KC135 tanker, and this tanker wobbles all over the bloody place - I might as well be trying to land in rolling seas and in the fog with a dead-stick on a carrier... it'd be easier !#@*! Crap - there HAS to be a BETTER way! The boom is just all over the place - not nice and steady like your video... am I just trying to do something that's impossible? Is the AI drunk or something!?! (not accellerator ver.)

  • @FirebatEnterprises OK, it is difficult and requires some concentration but with training you can do it every time without leaving the contact zone. Make sure you are very well trimmed. The tanker is flying very steadily because it is on autopilot. For example in the video the tanker is flying at 5,000 feet, 250 kts. I record the tanker with FSRecorder - put it on autopilot and let it fly for 10 minutes. Then I replay the recording while I flying the Hornet.

  • @degigi2003 The tanker I'm using is a KC-135T "A.I." tanker and it is all over the place - it is NOT steady, it "waggles"! (rocks back and forth - you know, dip wing slightly to the left, then to the right, rocking back and forth... gets 'semi-steady' for about 30 seconds, then starts this up again... frustrating! I know how to fly steady and precise - been doin' carrier landing for a long time)

I don't have FSRecorder to do the autopilot thing with it.

  • @FirebatEnterprises Hi, FSRecorder is free and easy to use. Just fly the tanker, stabilize it and put it on autopilot. Then you let it fly and record the flight with FSRecorder for about 10 minutes. Then start your flight again but this time with the Hornet. At any time replay the previously recorded flight of the tanker and you will see it in the air (you have to find it).

  • Looks absolutely stunning!

  • when i wait on the departure of the kc-135t at 18gmt he want go away could you please help? (i have got fsx.)

  • @wuppie367 You may want to get there a little earlier, like 17:55(GMT). The tanker needs some time to start and taxi to the runway.

  • @degigi2003 no it doesn't work i tryed 10 min. before 18gmt. and i have another question how do you fly with two planes?

  • @wuppie367 You may drop an email to the creator of the KC-135 package. I fly with two planes by using a program called FSRecorder - first I fly the tanker and record the flight with FSRecorder. Then I replay the recording of tanker while I fly the F/A-18. This is how you can do these formation videos by yourself.

  • @degigi2003 tnx

  • Can you fly the KC-135 or does the computer fly itself? And was this done in Multiplayer?

  • @QantasFan747 I flew the KC-135 and recorded the flight with FSRecorder, then played back the recording in FSX.

  • @degigi2003 How can you do that? because if i make a flightvideo i don't now to to play it back in fsx ;-)

  • @1635wessel Hi, you have to use a program called FSRecorder - it is very easy to use - it records the flight and you can play it back while you are in free flight, and this is how you can do a formation video - you can fly one plane and you can play back another at the same time.

  • @degigi2003 thanks for the info and the quick responce. and by the way nice video, and a nice refueling.

  • How did you call the fuel airplane?

  • @Roland9469 Download the gauge from the download link and check readme - everything is explained there - installation and how to use.

  • if you down load aircraft for fsx how do you get them in the simulator.

  • @snoken90powerkiing You paste the folder of the aircraft to "Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes" folder - this is where all airplanes are.

  • do ya need a specal plane to make this work?

  • @MegaJackC123 No, you can use any two planes.

  • can you please give me the link to this hornet download

  • @mishakiler Do you have the Acceleration Pack ?

  • When i press down the boom i dont see the Basket

  • In multiplayer i have send the KC-135 files but when my friend open the boom i see that it is up but he sees it is down why plz helpp

  • @HKS134 If you use the KC-135 from the download link here, this won't happen - the boom is part of the model and is always extended.

  • @degigi2003 But this is a patch right i downloaded a Kc-135T from simviation then installed this patch but still i dont see boom

  • @degigi2003 But this is a patch right i downloaded a Kc-135T from simviation then installed this patch but still i dont see boom should i need the "RefuelGauge.cab" in plane what i use to refuel?

  • @degigi2003 But this is a patch right i downloaded a Kc-135T from simviation then installed this patch but still i dont see boom should i need the "RefuelGauge.cab" in plane what i use to refuel?to see boom

  • @HKS134 I don't think it's a patch. It is a standalone aircraft. Download and unzip - it's a new KC-135 and you will always see the boom. The gauge is just to simulate the refueling process.

  • This is a mad video

  • how do you get that little black box open for the refeuling options???

  • @iwuvmycalico Press Shift+9.

  • @degigi2003thank you!!! is shift 9 only for this download??

  • @iwuvmycalico Yes, this is for the refueling gauge from this download.

  • How do you open the Fighter refuel thingy plz tell

  • @HKS134 Check at 00:39 in the video - the switch I am pressing in the cockpit, just behind the throttle, this is the switch for the refueling probe on the Hornet.

  • How u get that Refueling thing down from KC-135T?

  • @HKS134 Hi, it is built into the model, you don't need to do anything. But you must use the KC-135 model from the download link in the description here.

  • How do you look around your plane so smoothly?!

  • are you from fsxfleet too?

  • @don021980 No, I am just a developer and I like carrier aviation :)

  • Can u refuel from any plane.

  • @BlackFalcon126 Yes, you can refuel from any plane, as long as you are in the proper contact position. It's easiest to get into that position relative to the KC-135, because it has a refueling boom that you can see, but any other aircraft will do. Just get slowly close to it until you see the "REFUELING" message and hold the position.

  • where did u get the flanker?great vid, make more vids like this

  • @aish340 Thanks :) The download link for the tanker is in the description.

  • how did you do so that another aircraft is following behind you? (sorry for google translate)

  • @sysunja1 I am using a free program called FSRecorder. You record the flight, then you can replay it, while you fly your own aircraft. Same for the tanker.

  • after watching some of your videos im subbed, and im also trying your hud

  • Man you fly like real pilot!!! OK maybe you are. :))))))) By the way nice video there!

  • How do you activate it? I have downloaded & installed the in-flight refueling gauge. Help me please.I have read the Instruction but then halfway, I accidentally delete the file.

  • @Azrync Hi, you can download the file again - the link is in the description. Here is a short guide - just open the IFR gauge, select an aircraft from the Traffic Info, note the bearing/altitude and fly to it. When you get close, press the "Refuel ON/OFF" button. Then maneuver the plane as in the video and the refuel will start automatically if you are close enough. You can use the KC-135 from the link.

  • What is the song? =)

  • @Azrync Spencer Davis Group - Gimme Some Lovin'

  • hey i think you flew over my house that was in san diego right?

  • @jeffg24LT21 Haha, yes :))

  • What a cool way to refuel!

  • How do you get the tanker to fly during the day. The AI pattern for it is only at night and it's hard to find.

  • @m1ndfr34k117 Hi, I am not using AI traffic. This is a KC-135 I flew and recorded with FSRecorder and then played back. Because it's a recording, you can play it back at any time. Just make sure it's long enough so you can find it and refuel from it.

  • please answer:

where did u dowload this aircraft?

  • @cozzipilot The link for the tanker (KC-135) is in the description.

  • is this in multiplayer

  • one more question how to find the tanker =.= i always lost it =.= it was 20mn then it started to rise 30mn sth =.= can't find it help!!!!!!

  • @TheAlbertYuen Use the Traffic Info information. It provides bearing and altitude. Make sure you are on that bearing and altitude and don't go too fast - you can also see the speed of the tanker and the time you need to reach it at your present speed.

  • how to show up the Fuel % ?????

  • @TheAlbertYuen If you want to see it on the HUD, you need to install the HUD provided with the package. If you don't have the HUD, you should be able to see the fuel % in the center of your screen. For more details check the readme file.

  • @degigi2003 ah ok =)

  • @degigi2003 ah on =)

  • @degigi2003 im sorry for my bad english im italian.do not contact for fuel

  • @FrecceTricolori1 Yes, you are right, but this is only a simulation of refueling, it is not possible to refuel in the air by making contact in FSX. In the real world you make a hard connection with the tanker, in FSX you cannot do that so you have to manually fly the aircraft and keep it in position. What I did is actually very hard to do in real life.

  • bad refueling

  • @FrecceTricolori1 Why is it bad ?

  • theres a FSX acceleration KC 135 and u can press the tailhook button and the refueling probe will go down

  • how do i put the gause on my aircrafts?

  • @rockhopper123452 There is a detailed readme with installation instructions, there is some manual work involved, but it's not very difficult.

  • thanks guys BTW great video

  • how do u open basket in kc-135.i press the T(tailhook)and it gets out a....long d1ck how open basket?and super vid!

  • @SilverS21995 In the model I am using for the KC-135, the refueling basket is always extended, you don't need to press anything. You can download the KC-135 model from the link in the description.

  • question.. how do you get the refuel nozzel to come out the F18? I havent downloaded any add ons, and the other day i was flying in one lobby and it was out.. had no idea how i did it..

  • @brattness Hi, I do it from a switch in the cockpit - check 00:40 in the video - there is a switch called "Probe Emergency Exit" just behind the throttle.

  • You also get a flight plan with the kc135 right? whats the exact time of departure, im waiting and waiting for it to depart.

  • @JeroenvD1993 Departs KSAN to KLAS at 19:00 (Local Time). Return (KLAS-KSAN) at 20:40 (Local Time). This is from the readme. I think you have to be there before the depart time, for example at KSAN at 18:55. At 19:00 you should see the tanker taxi to the runway, it will take it about 7-8 minutes to take-off.

  • @degigi2003

Ah thx man! i was there like 13:00, so that explains it, thx for the quick response!

  • how did you open traffic info???

  • @multijostin I think it's "Shift+8"...

  • @degigi2003 ok thnx

  • Everytime I refuel it only goes to 72%. It will say 79% and then transfer but then it goes back to 72%. Does anyone know why?

  • @tipster111111 I am guessing you are using an aircraft with external tanks?

  • @degigi2003 It does not matter if I use an aircraft with or without external tanks. It never goes to 100%.

  • when I'm practicing in-flight refuels in multiplayer, I can't see the boom coming down. the one that is in the tanker CAN see his boom coming down.... what's the problem? how is it possible that you can see it coming down and I don't? (btw, everyone in the VAF I'm in (USAVAF) has that problem so I'm not the only one...)

  • @BrechtScheelen You don't see it because the boom coming down is an animation and it is local the one controlling it - only he can see it. It is the same for your refueling receptacle - if you open it on your aircraft, no one else will see it. This is why we use this model (link is in the description) where the lowered boom is built into the model, so it's always down.

  • @degigi2003 It's different for lights, flaps, gear, tailhook, canopy - information about their position is sent to the other players and they can all see in what position they are.

  • If you are going to do it, do it right or don't do it at all. That was THE worst in-flight refuel I've seen in my life on a sim.

  • @mynameisray Obviously you have never played Flight Simulator X. There is no aerial refueling implemented there as in the other sims. So you can't just go there and connect to a refueling boom - there is nothing to connect to, it's just an animation and there is no fuel transfer. All you can do is simulate a refueling by flying very close to the boom and use a special add-on that increases the fuel in your tanks, if you are good enough to keep tight formation with the tanker.

  • How did the other f-18 use more throttle even thought it was at about the same speed as the f-18 you're flying?

  • @mrjohny193 The nozzle animations are not properly replayed. You will notice that they also hardly move although I constantly work with the throttle on both planes.

  • join fsxfleet.com we do hundreds of those awseome vid by the way

  • Is this in DX10? If so, how'd you get the aircraft textures to show up?

  • Are you running DX10? If so how'd you do it?

  • How i can let the KC-135 fly in fsx?? (I meen that the plane fly by the computer, not by myself.)

  • @FighterCup You need a utility called FSRecorder, or you can use the AI Flight Plans that come with the KC-135 from the link I gave in the description. You will find the flight plans in the package of the KC-135, check readme for more information how to install them and where and when to wait for the tanker to take off.

  • @degigi2003 thank you

  • WHAT TIME DOES THE KC135 DEPART FROM KSAN!?!?!?! I see it in the terminal, but it never leaves!!!! Can SOMEBODY please tell me QUICK what time it leaves, and how to input the time in the menus!

  • @rockmasterdan1993 It departs from KSAN (San Diego Intl) at 19:00 local time. At 19:00 the KC-135 should start taxing towards the runway and take-off around 19:08, but I think you should be there a little before 19:00 to see the taxi and take-off.

  • is it a AI KC135 if so were do u get it from and were do u get it from anyway coz id quite like a KC135

  • @jakem1900 It is the KC-135 - the download link is in the description.

  • @degigi2003 o chears lol sorry not used to the new layout of Youtube thanks!

  • how do you move the camera smooth and have it snap back so easy

  • @FMXPRO199 Because it is a recording, sometimes I use mouse look - you keep the spacebar pressed and use the mouse.

  • @degigi2003 ok thanks

  • hey i have the refueling gauge, it wont work i did everything in the package, i put it in the panel.cfg and went to the one above the VC line, it was listed as the stock number, "window08" and when i press shift 9 it doesnt work, i tried these different aircrafft: VRS Superbug F-18E, Captain Sims F-18D, IRis F-16. and they wont work at all, the gauge wont pop up after i press Shit+9 can i get a fast reply please? thanks

  • @sinisha1vids Did you put this line:

    Window08=Refueling Gauge

  • @degigi2003 omfg im so retarded thanks bro, keep my KC-135 at 275KN, what percent of throttle is that on my F-18, and another question is, can i do IFR with my CS KC-130?

  • @sinisha1vids You should not try to find a specific throttle percent to maintain speed - just add a little throttle when you are below your desired speed, and as soon as you see the speed go up - pull back a little on the throttle. Do not use airbrake or afterburner! Instead use small and timely throttle corrections. You should be able to use the C-130 to refuel :)

  • amazing video mate... really liked it :D

  • why did u refuel when ur probe take didnt make cantact with the fuel extent?

  • @adad2757 dude its a simulation its really hard to do and he is really good at it.

  • how do u pull up the refuel gauge?, unless i didnt put it in right? and do i need the realistic hud for it to work????? reply as fast as u can, thx

  • Follow the installation instructions in the package, it should pop up when you press Shift+9. You don't need the realistic HUD, but I strongly recommend it as you can integrate it with the refueling gauge (again see the readme file for the refueling gauge), the HUD is much better than the default as you can see from the video.
