Good gameplay. I actully learn some new combos watching this. I do suggest you use the slide alittle more since it basically unblockable if done at the right time after a big kick or uppercut.

What I mean is that in order to land a babality, you can't block during the final round. A lot of people have posted how terrible some of my opponents are, and how I'm terrible as well. If you're watching any of the footage critically, you'd have to know that in some of my victories, I am not even using the block button. Because, obviously, I'm going to take a lot of extra damage that way -- my tactics change as well.

That's an excellent question. I have a couple answers for that; one a little more obvious than the other.

The main reason and most obvious reason why my follow-ups to juggles are different is because I'm trying to perform babalities. These require no blocking to be done in the winning round, and because the slide move requires that I press block, I simply can't do it. In most of these matches, I try to avoid pressing block as much as I can in either round to gauge how good my opponent is.

The other reason is that I find the slide finish to be too mechanical. I prefer to run in right after and follow up with run jabs in an attempt to induce a throw. Either that, or after the juggle I'll back off and attempt to lure a more aggressive opponent into an ice clone.

I feel I can do much more out of a throw or ice clone than just finishing with the slide. Sadly, this is not seen often in this video.

I'm likely not the best Sub-Zero around, so take my methods with a grain of salt. ;)

If you're a big fan of the series and you've been playing since Genesis MK1 like me, do yourself a favor and pick up MK vs DC Universe. If you can get over the toned down gore, it's the most true MK since the 2D days.

Your memory about our match may be a little foggy, though, because I don't quit out of matches, no matter how bad they're going. Sure it was me? I used to do it during my first week on UMK3 after a Fatality to save some time, but I realized that it landed me a lot of negative rep.

Also, I'm not sure what's wrong with throwing. I use it to disrupt players who just crouch and block in the corner to pressure them to do something, and that's no different from what you see in this video.

Not much in the game is cheap, but what I do consider cheap is when players specifically pick Nightwolf (freeze counter) just to counter me. Not saying that's you, but a lot of people have. If the throw is cheap, then so is Nightwolf's shoulder charge as well as his freeze counter.

I found that the fights were better to watch with a little game audio in there. I tried to turn down the game audio at a lower level than the music to make it tolerable. Good point, though, some may find it too distracting.

I played a handful of ranked one night on Xbox Live and these are the matches, simple as that. "Noobs" or not, it's not easy to land a babality on anyone on Xbox Live since you can't block.

There aren't many real "pros" on Xbox Live; maybe 1 in 20 players. And even more rare to find someone good who doesn't abuse Ermac, Human Smoke, Kabal, etc.
