  • sine wave is movement following this pattern, down, up, down, or lower ur body, raise ur body, then lower ur body. that's used if ur standing straight, if you r in a crouched fighting position a la itf tkd or boxing, ur already in prep movement for sine wave, so sine wave is practical, sine you will naturally raise your body to punch/kick ur body weight. sine wave works.

  • Sine wave movement patterns... not easy. Face punching tkd sparring. Never practiced ITF, but I like it.

  • @RicardoKooh not all itf tae kwon do uses sine wave!

  • @mackbeth30 Maybe cause ITF had split in 3 different organizations?

  • @RicardoKooh every itf organization uses sine wave. sine wave was widespread by the 1980's, way before the split. that happened in 2002 after gen choi died.

  • @dragonbalzy Yes, but, many korean masters that once had been with Choi...later, they TKD organization became WTF or their own, without "sine wave". Thanks for the information. I only would like to address, that if ITF included roundhouse kicks with the shin, and some more grappling (stand up and ground), would be awesome.

  • @RicardoKooh it does!

  • @mackbeth30 yes they do

  • @jarrettautry lol they don't at my club we don't becuase it is not practical.

  • @mackbeth30 then you are not itf. simple.
