  • Thank god the bar survived the test... Good thing it'll never see half that weight...

  • not really a rack pull. nice grip but thats about it. i bet 2 years later and you still can't get 800 raw

  • really strong .... more impressed by the music tho ... lifting to parkway is the s&%t!!!

  • good lift but you've definitely got some kind of imbalance going on with your left arm. probably easy to fix.

  • parkway drive in hthe background haha? siqcunt.

  • Is this a basement home gym? Looks like a real gym SHOULD look.

  • i thought the weight had to be set just below the knees for rack pulls....not mid thigh

  • @NB4L You are...this lift was looking all legs, traps and grip...not much back what so ever. Still a shit ton of weight though for a test, well done

  • Fuck yeah man that's sick as hell and the fact you're playing ParkwayDrive in the background makes this video epic as fuck!

  • it was only a bar test

    O.O

    nice

  • A Cold Day In Hell (Y)

  • lol i love how so many people criticise this guy when i bet they can only lift like 50lbs

  • Wow! So many people giving you crap over bad form or not full ROM. Well duhh! It's called rack pulls and your form was great! Stupid 13 year old amateurs.

  • gripping 1000lbs is the main achievement done here, thats prob harder then doing a rackpull with straps

  • no straps

    W

    T

    F

  • I have a 1,500 lbs capacity bar. Wanna test it? :-)))) Anyway, THIS IS AWESOME. I TOTALLY LOVE HOW YOU DON'T USE ANY CRAP (belt, shirt, etc.). Stay pure, dude, GREAT JOB!!!

  • When one supports a massive amount of weight, heart must pump blood into areas of body which are extremely compressed. Working on a "SUPERLIFT" that will get some serious attention...

    Yes i love the crush# 3 raban's and hg 350.

Stay healthy, study Physical Culture, get strong and forget the spandex monkeys, juicers, one trick ponys and posers...

  • SteelPot, impressive! 10 years of confidence, then? I watched a couple of your other clips and get the impression that you're a full fledged member of the "Grip Cult". Do you give any merit to the heavy duty grippers? #2, #2.5, #3, etc...? also, what's next for you? 1005?, or trying 1000 from a tiny bit lower position? or holding it longer? have you ever had hand arthritis or do you take preventative measures?

  • I have gotten strong enough too look good and be a better kickboxer, I dont see the point in lifting 1000lb.

  • @EuroPowa i dont see the point in being a good kickboxer and looking good

  • @JimmyD0YLE Being able to kick ass, be healthy and get women, theres a point to that.

  • are the safety bars supposed to be that high up?

  • @ATERIFA no. hes just testing the bar

  • Good job! I just started doing rack pulls 3" above the knee, and I can only do 505#

What is your best DL as of right now?

  • Still around...

swamped by a bunch of self-declared fitness experts, spandex monkeys, hardcore aerobic metros, pill pushers, lab rats, gurus, masters, etc.

No matter, lifting heavy stuff for over a DECADE../10 yrs/now.

    No injuries..

No suits, no shirts, no belts, or straps...just chalk

    Best to all serious lifters...

Pity the rest, who live in delusional world of "knowledge"..

  • @STEELPOT1 awesome shit. I would still say be sure you keep your arms straight with no bend. I've seen so many people tear a bicep that way. In any event. Wow. no straps. fucking crazy

  • @STEELPOT1 respect man! no straps! i cant even do 450 with that i can only deadlift 405lbs off the floor, rack pulls i am not sure, but nice man!

  • i don't understand why the fuck people are complaining about bad form. It's 1000!!!! freaking pounds for Christ sake!

  • BAD FORM !!!

  • is it me or did he pause the video everytime he did a rep to make it look like hes was doing a sets of reps. by the way very bad form.

  • bad form but i do agree that it really gives a boost on the strength to help on deadlifts,

  • What do u take? You are not very big but very strong.

  • I recommend clips ;D the plates almost fell off

  • That's power!

  • bad form in terms of no pulling lol but seriously strong grip! and strong body! I struggle to hold onto 500lb raw

  • Thanks.

This "bad form" is slowly helping me achieve a personal goal of 800lb raw deadlift...

  • @webbyman

    not really lol

  • @matklstrength well good form but i've always seen rack pulls as slightly pointless.. So bad form in terms of training imo but whatever floats your boat. When I incorporated rack pulls they didn't seem to benefit me enough to do them long term.. rather to falmers walks or deads

  • @webbyman

rack pulls are used as an assistance exercise for improving your deadlift lockout, so yes they are pointless if you do not have a problem with your deadlift lockout, but if you do then they are an essential exercise to do.

  • @matklstrength Does it matter if they are done above the knee, or should they be below the knee?

  • @rmsolympic1

like i said, wherever your sticking point is, i'd go just below that. but you only need to do this if you're dl'ing and you have a sticking point thats above your knee.

  • @matklstrength Makes sense.

  • true strongman training.

  • There seem to be a gathering of morons here.

Nevermind them, sir, strong pulls and the bar seems to be holding up just fine. ;)

  • Right, bar is not pulled from the rack. !?

  • Another purpose of the Rack Pull is to test the barbell...

  • Yawn...

  • not exactly a perfect rack pull. but you had no belt and it was 1000lbs so great job man

  • Great lift! What do you pull from the floor?

  • you could tear your bicep tendon on the supinated arm, that's not pleasent and not pretty

  • Owkay, great weight no doubt about that. But your technique is disturbing.

  • Correct, watching 240lb person, lift 1000lbs without straps in any "technique" is disturbing :0.

Myself can't sleep at night ...

  • Back to pilates...spandex monkey!

  • That bar is way above knee level. But it's 1000lbs so i have to still give you credit! Awesome Stuff!

  • Thnx.

  • there you go! finally someone who has real strength! Not a strap wearing wimp! I have a disgust for straps. i pull 900 like this but i haven't done in a while it should be more now.

  • straps are ok if you dont overuse them and/or neglect your grip training. Personally, I dont use them for rack pulls and avoid using them for deadlifts but they are a must for heavy BB shrugs.

  • @goodtimes616

    Same here

  • FLAWLESS! you are a force to be reckoned with. i'm impressed with your core strength. keep it up!

  • that was pretty sick, but it seemed like you had the bar a ways above ur knees, im not trying to bash or anything but yeah

  • Thnx.

    Rack pulls are not deadlifts...

  • Yeah but the bar should still be just under the knees, regardless.

  • EDIT: But still, props, I usre as hell wouldn't be able to do it.

  • kurwa jaka moc, brawo!!!!! jestem pod wrazeniem.

  • Jeszcze polska...

    Dzieki!

  • HUGE hands man! That's some awesome core and grip strength, I'm impressed!

  • Well...I find your videos SCARY!

Deadlifting bar while the plates are falling off is impressive!

  • awesome grip power!!

  • grazy grip strength. see you in the ER real soon.

  • Thnx.
