the first time i had this,i thought no, but it does taste very good.the prawn was in very spicey chilli,green mango (not ripe) papia.the same as som tum. this was in the north.khon kaen. when you get used to the spice,you want it hotter.untill you eat it for breakfast. i have a thai wife,so all food is very spicey. but par my wife loves mcdonalds.which i hate.

i would have no problem to eat for example living shrimps if they taste well, but my question to you, thaipulsedotcom, and others in this comment section is: how is it about taenias? (tapeworms) Do they also live in seafood? I would never eat something that is still alive or even just raw from freshwaters! (btw. except of trout roe, don't ask me why i have this exceptional case)

One time me and my little brother were fishing and I had to catch some bait. While I was throwing for finger mullet. I caught the biggest glass shrimp I'd ever seen. I said its big enough to eat and he said go ahead so I did and it was fuckin disgusting. Probably because the mud flats we were fishing at.

actully shrimps are salt water animals, as you know salt, it allows meat to be preserve meaning there are no parasites and keeps it from rotting, noticed alot of salt water fishes are eaten raw, for example Tuna

That actually does look kinda good. Being so tiny, I bet the shells are soft and just slightly crunchy. The only thing I'm worried about is parasites. That's the problem with raw seafood, especially shellfish, you've got to worry about parasites.

Hopefully these are farmed shrimp.
