1. I'm in college now, I know what she means. Her father was able to afford to send two kids to Princeton. Yes, they had to take out some loans, it's Princeton for pete's sake. The point is, her single-income family could still give her a great education, and that's just not possible today.

2. Her point was that Obama's mom was a single white mom trying to raise a black kid in the '60s. Yes she's black, and so were both of her parents, and she grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood.
